Editorial Review for Nic & Dino's Tripoli Tap – by J.P. Anderson
In Short
Beat-up wood tables, a weathered bar and bare parchment walls give this low-lit hangout a comfortable, broken-in feel. Six TVs broadcast sports, and a Golden Tee machine sees plenty of action. Neighborhood regulars stop in for satisfying bar-food favorites--hot wings, sloppy joes and bratwurst--at cheap-eats prices. Beer is the beverage of choice; draft options include Guinness, Stella, Blue Moon and Hard Core Cider. A 75-seat patio with umbrella-shaded tables is the bar's highlight.

This place is a great neighborhood spot, especially if you are a Red Sox fan. They ALWAYS have the Sox game on and plenty of transplanted New Englanders inside cheering at the screens. Food is good, but kind of limited selection. The bartenders get to know you and your drink quickly after you've been there a few times (beer is a safe bet-- they don't do margaritas and often are out of sour mix). Can be a little crowded and smoky on the weekends.
Pros: Play Red Sox games

I go to this bar weekly, and it's a great community bar! The owner and bartender know us and are always friendly. The food is awesome! Not super-cheap, but normal for bar food ($6-$7 for an entree). The wings are good, and the sloppy joes are GREAT! There's an outdoor patio in the summer which is nice too, with a TV outside for watching sports. Just a great place to hang out!
Pros: great food, neighborhood bar, outdoor seating area
Cons: sometimes slow food service
