“They have great deals on wine, the sandwiches are creative and yummy, and for such a small space, they are able to pack in great last minute finds.”

Go for a sandwich (like the turkey reuben) and pick up a variety of locally made sauces, wine, and baked goods. There are multiple locations, so you're never too far from The Goddess.

This is the perfect little grocery store. Pre-made lunches, dinners or knick knacks right in the heart of the Gold Coast. Take a break from Bloomies for an ice tea or tuna salad.

Not everything's a slam-dunk here, but I love the pantry-stockers & breakfast sandwiches. Sit outside!
Yummy food but very PRICEY!. The Goddess has excellent food, but it would be even better if it was half the price! I got an order to-go for dinner tonight for myself and it cost $16 for just Mac N Cheese (gourmet of course) and 2 Chicken tenders. The Mac N Cheese is amazing, but not worth $10. The better deal is the "make your own salad," but even that can end up costing an easy $12. In short, with today's economy, I really think this place needs to lower their prices.
Good food/bad value. Good fresh, healthy food, but not good portions for the price. Also, much better to eat there than get delivered. They don't even give you chips with your sandwich. Cheap bastards! Enticing menu selection though, I must admit.
Yummy take-out spot!. I was on my way back to the train after shopping at Raizy, and the salesgirls there recommended that I stop at Goddess and Grocer to pick up lunch. I had a delicious roast beef sandwich that was huge but I had to finish every bite, it was so good!! There is a little table where you can sit down to eat, but it's mostly a take-out spot. I would definitely pick up something ready-made from their case to take home for dinner-everything looked so good! They were very busy so the service wasn't great, but it was a weekend so maybe the service is better when it's not so busy. I did buy a few things from their grocery section, and they had a lot of gourmet items to choose from. This would be a great place to pick up wine, cheese and a few easy things if you were having friends over!
High quality and great finds!. Not only do the people working here serve with a smile, they prepare the best food! I have been in here on numerous occassions recently and have not once been disappointed. They have great deals on wine, the sandwiches are creative and yummy, and for such a small space, they are able to pack in great last minute finds.
goddess of what?. I have enjoyed shopping this quant little deli many times over except for the bothersome, loud and sometimes very rude owner, who only seems to emerge from the back room to put down her VERY helpful staff or to butt into a conversation with some very droll story about australia. God save the queen but take the goddess back down under.... i was speaking with the VERY knowledgable staff about a type of bleu cheese and then found myself trapped in a story about allergies to just this type of cheese. I enjoy the people who work there when they have the chance talk about food without interruption. God save the Grocer too!
Bucktown bites never looked so stylish, thanks to this elegant gourmet grocer..
In Short
Foodies stop by this cute, tiny spot for food on the run. Decked in fuchsia and pea-green walls, it's lined with picnic-perfect prepackaged hot sauces, cereals and chocolates. In the deli case, there's organic orange-and-beet salad, meats like peppered salami and breads fresh from Red Hen bakery. Design-your-own salads and sandwiches are one option, while house preparations like smoked brisket with barbecue sauce, grilled onions and cheddar on Kaiser showcase the kitchen's creativity.
