Editorial Review. New Mexican dishes get fired up with chiles and other seasonings at this Lincoln Park eatery.
New Mexican--in CHICAGO!!!?. Finding this little restaurant was a wonderful experience! The owner/manager was personable and gracious and did everything possible to make our dinner memorable. It is the only restaurant that serves authentic NEW Mexican food that I've found outside of that state's borders. It is on my top 3 places to go whenever I am asked for suggestions for visiting Chicago. The margaritas were excellent, the chiles were hot and tasty, and I loved it! Thank you for bringing the taste of Albquerque to within driving distance.
Not for Large parties. Birthday celebration gone awry. Group of 30 somethings had a vascular surgeon, corporate lawyers, commercial broker, svp, paralegal, teacher, marathon runner, cancer survivor, someone whose father died. A hardworking professional group. An older table came over and said we were too loud. We were out celebrating. I make no apologizes for this. The other table accused us of being drunk, rude, disrespectful. (half were sober - triathon). It was mean to attack our character and worth. How management treated us, no one will ever go back. If they wanted a quiet night, go to Gejas. The restuarant is very small. If we were at Uncle Julios, no one would have noticed. Management should not keep its patrons from having a good time. Instead seat quiet table outside, offer a gift certificate. Who would have been the return customer? As to the table of individuals, why attack us? Enjoy life. Celebrate.
