Day Spa 664View More
Gould's is MUCH better. I went there for my first facial. The spa was plain, but they were friendly and did a nice job; total price = $110 + tip. They recommended that I come back three times a month. I wasn't sure about that, so I tried Gould's in the Peabody the following week (only two blocks from Day Spa 664). What a beautiful place! I had a great facial (with neck and arm massage); total price = $95 + tip. They recommended that I purchase a $35 kit so that I could do the same thing at home, and then come back once a season for a thorough facial. Atmosphere + service + recommended frequency + price...I would recommend Gould's 10 times out of 10.
Great service!. I've been to a couple really nice spas before so when I first entered the lobby, I was a little hesitant. It looks like it used to be an office so it was really spacious for a true "spa" experience. It wasn't cozy like I've been used to in the past but the person (who I assume was the manager) was really nice and accommodating when I told her I was there for my appointment. I had a number of services done and the staff was really nice and always asked how I was doing, if they were doing their job to my liking, etc. Even the staff that I didn't have any services with greeted me and wished me well. I really enjoyed my time there and compared to the higher end spas, I liked this one much better. The staff at the nicer places are always snooty and seem to have huge egos. I'm glad I've found a place that seems to care about their customers. Just don't let the atmosphere scare you away. Once you're in the zone, you're really into the whole spa experience.
