Chicago >Birrieria De La Torre
“My friend had the Carne En Su Jugo (meat stew) and it was also a great signature dish.”
“All the waitresses are very attentive and friendly.”
“Overall, the experience here is unique and well worth trying.”
Best Birria in Chicago.
Birrieria De La Torre used to be a small Mexican food joint. Recently, the original spot was converted in a full kitchen and the building next door was merged to expand the restaurant.
The service is excellent here. All the waitresses are very attentive and friendly. The food is top-notch and their specialty is goat stew. I had the Consome De Birria (Goat Stew consommé) which was superb. My friend had the Carne En Su Jugo (meat stew) and it was also a great signature dish. The tortillas are even hand-made, so that is a nice plus.
For drinks, I had a prepared Sidral which I strongly recommend. Overall, the experience here is unique and well worth trying. I'm very glad they expanded to a full service restaurant. I will be coming here more often.
Editorial Review. From goat stews to bacon-steak tacos, this Gage Park restaurant dishes up authentic Mexican fare.
