OMG - Simply the best Italian outside of Italy!!!!!

This is by far, the most outstanding Italian food I have ever had. Cute, quaint, romantic and the food - well the food is unparalleled. Donatella herself will great you and relay the day's specials. Everything we had made us roll our eyes in ecstasy. Highly recommended. BYOB.

Great, authentic Italian experience

This place feels like one of those quaint little restaurants in Rome -- lots of Roman pictures from Italian films on the walls, a whiteboard of today's specials on the walls, and as much as possible in Italian, not English. If you want to get a bit more authentic than your typical Italian American fare then this is the place for you. I especially like the olive oil and vinegar with the fresh bread -- excellent touch!

The only downside is that it is too small. Perhaps they could move into one of the larger retail spaces being constructed closer to the El on Howard!

• Pros: Authentic, delicious food with fresh ingredients. Free parking, though not much of it.
• Cons: Too small, and parking fills up quickly, forcing you onto the street.
