Found Eppy's on this site. Really good experience. A work buddy and I headed over to give it a shot. I had a turkey sandwich and a cup of the chicken chili. My friend had a reuben sandwich. All were above average. The other thing that I liked about the place was the twist on pricing the side dishes. The sides were priced at the temperature outside! So, my buddy got a couple of cold sides for .19 cents! Definitely head over if you are looking for a good sandwich at a fair price. I would tell you that as the lunch hour went on, their was people waiting for a table so go early.

...and that includes White Hen. I had the extreme misfortune of going to Eppys new Franklin St. location in the Loop. It was 12:30PM on a Thursday, the place was half-full, and here is a list of what this pathetic excuse for a deli was out of: - Pastrami - Soup (all four flavors) - Tomatoes - Ice I feel bad for those poor saps who wandered in around 1:30 for a late lunch - they were probably left to serve themselves from the plentiful garbage that littered the floor. On top of that, the "hot corned beef" was cold and the macaroni salad was un-edible. Seriously, how do you screw up macaroni salad? The thousands of people who bring this simple dish to church pot-lucks seem to have no trouble...why is it so hard for Eppys? With Perrys (a truly great deli) two doors away and re-opening on 1/2/08, I doubt that Eppys sad sack deli will last past 1/3/07. Truth be told, I would rather be wacked in the head repeatedly with a hammer while listening to the Chipmunks soundtrack on repeat than eat at Eppys again. Yes, you heard me correctly, the Chipmunks. With a review like this, many of you may think I am a deli-snob from New York. I am not - I have lived in the midwest all my life, and this place is still a disgrace to the deli community. If a New Yorker were to eat here, their head would probably explode. Seriously, everyone take heed...DO NOT EAT HERE!
Pros: None
Cons: Out of everything, dirty, un-helpful staff, small sandwhiches
