Best Fitness store in Chicago

by fitguy7 at Citysearch

Went into the store on Elston Street,. I was recommended by a friend. I must have passed it a few times, but it is on the corner of Elston and Webster. I was shocked at all of the equipment they carry. I was overwhelmed. Luckily, they had some good help for me. Bill talked me through my goals, space and my budget and got me set up with my own personal training room. I actually had money left over from my budget. They set up delivery and I got my equipment fast. They have the best prices on weights and dumb bells anywhere. I would recommend this store to all my friends. Thanks Bill and Fitness Factory.

Look elsewhere for fitness equipment

Poor service. Poor Quality. I was so excited to get a new treadmill, but Ive had nothing but problems. Ive had problems with the power supply, the belt, and the motor. And after you call them, it takes weeks to get the thing fixed. Ill never buy anything from Fitness Factory Outlet again.

BUYER BEWARE! If you think the prices are good, there's a reason...

by brandon316 at Citysearch

BUYER BEWARE! I bought a treadmill from Fitness Factory Outlet 18 months ago, and it has broken down three times. Each time, it has taken them more than three weeks to get it fixed. Even though they claim a "lifetime warranty", after a year, you're on your own for labor. The labor rate is $145.00 for a half hour! I wish I could fix treadmills for a living...

Their salespeople are nice and talk a good game about the features, but in the end they sell a low quality product with poor service.

  • Pros: Seemlingly cheap prices
  • Cons: Poor quality product; horrific service when things go wrong.
