“The ice cream is delicious (homemade, with a few special Bobtails flavors), but I think most people go to hang out - great atmosphere, adorable decorations/music, and a fun place to run into friends from the neighborhood.”
“They take a belgian waffle (my favorite is the maple), cook it right in front of you so it's warm, top it off with a scoop of icecream, some fudge, and whipped cream.”
“Fantastic ice cream, AMAZING grilled cheese sandwiches, and every Bobtailer I've talked to has been nothing but delightful.”
“The staff is incredibly friendly (ask for Grace), it's the best looking store I've ever been in, and the ice cream is amazing.”

“Great homemade ice cream, a little pricey but well worth it.”
Classic ice cream spot with creative rotating flavors, like pumpkin. There's almost always a line and it's always worth it.

Your inner child will do cartwheels when you walk into this whimsical scoop shop. Try the Lakeview Sunset or the seasonal flavor (mmm...pumpkin!). Tasty shakes too.

Even if it's cold outside, the hot cocoa selections will satisfy your sweet tooth. The alcohol-infused ice creams are popular too.
One word: Amazing. Cannot get enough of their cappuccino chip ice cream! I live right down the street and find it extremely difficult to walk past without making a quick stop.
Great!. I absolutely love this place! I live right next to it so I go there all the time. They have board games you can play there and I often see parents and kids playing together, so cute. There are always people there, even in winter, and I can see why. The ice cream is amazing! I've tried a ton of their flavors and they let you try them before you buy. I would suggest a kids cone, unless you want to be really sugared out, because that is more than enough for me. Their drinks are great too, but seriously, get their ice cream!
guinness ice cream. You have to try the Guinness ice cream, its amazing! Everything is homemade and you can even watch the production team making the ice cream. Great job Bobtail. I cant wait to see you again!
Great homemade ice cream. Great homemade ice cream, a little pricey but well worth it. The service is friendly and helpful and the ice cream was downright delicious.
Bets ice cream in the world!.
Bobtail has the best ice cream in the world. I can still taste Daley Addiction in my mouth. Yummy!

A must!. Feel like an ice-cream? This is the place to come. Once you have tasted Bobtail's ice-cream you just don't go to other places anymore. The atmosphere in this store is soooo cozy, I can spend hours in it. People watching is great as well. Try the Signature Sunset (Merlot Choc Chip) it is absolutely devine!
Great atmosphere and ice cream. My favorite ice cream place! Situated on the corner of Broadway and Wellington, Bobtails is a charming corner store, with seating outdoors in the spring/summer. It has an old-fashioned '50s feel to it (including the music and decoration). It attracts a young crowd due to its convenient location in Lakeview and is usually full in the evenings. The ice cream is delicious (homemade, with a few special Bobtails flavors), but I think most people go to hang out - great atmosphere, adorable decorations/music, and a fun place to run into friends from the neighborhood. Good customer service - the place is always very clean.
You have to!. If you are looking for the best ice cream in the city, here is where you should be. No doubt about it!
By chance. Wandered in there by chance and had their peach ice cream. Best peach ice cream I have had in many years. I have not eaten there, but have been back for the ice cream twice. Will go again tonight. A friend had their chocolate melort and thought it was great.
On a bustling corner in Lakeview, this retro soda fountain dishes out homemade ice cream, waffles and other tasty treats..
The Scene
A blue- and white-striped awning marks the entrance of this Lakeview corner soda shop. Inside, a pastel-striped banquette and tall stools at a handful of marble-topped tables provide seating. A line of neighborhood folks snakes to the counter, where ice cream is made from scratch by friendly soda jerks.
The Food
In addition to traditional ice cream flavors, locally inspired concoctions include Lakeview Barhopper (chocolate ice cream with Jack Daniel's flavoring) and Signature Sunset (merlot ice cream and chocolate pieces). For the body conscious, fat-free sorbets and a low-carb vanilla ice cream also are available. Milk shakes, floats, sundaes and blended coffee drinks round out the frozen offerings. Other menu items include grilled cheese and PB&J sandwiches, plus Belgian waffles with maple syrup and butter or your choice of ice cream topping. Coffee, tea, apple cider and hot chocolate are comforting cold-weather drinks.
