Editorial Review for Matsu Yama – by Robyn Galbos
In Short
An exuberant greeting from the waitstaff and sushi chefs welcomes patrons to this corner spot. Soft gray walls, sleek light fixtures and stone floors lend a contemporary feel to the long dining room; chatty groups gather at tables while curious couples gravitate to the bar. A hefty list of nigiri and maki options include standards (hamachi, unagi and spicy tuna roll), plus there are dozens of specials including toro tartare presented in a martini glass.

I went on a friday night with a reservation and we got sat right away. It took 20 minutes for someone to come over to the table to even greet us. When we told management, they said that the server will be over in a minute. The food took awhile to prepare but the sushi was good. I suggest the ruby. But the service was so aweful that the server poured water into a glass of white wine!! Go at your own risk.
Pros: Pretty good sushi
Cons: Service is BAD

Where do you get off telling people what they can and can't tattoo on their body? I'm not into swastikas either, but you were there to eat, not scrutinize the waiters body art.
