Great food, laid back, neighborhood bar. I been to Floyd's a few times, and every time I go, I wonder why I don't go more often. Floyd's is on the corner of Oakley and Armitage, and is a classic Chicago neighborhood bar. I'm not sure if the neighborhood is Wicker Park or Bucktown.

The food is the real deal here. Everything is homemade. The Chicken Fajita's I just had were only $6, and the serving was huge, and delicious.

The bar is laid back, very casual. It is the kind of place you can count on for a good dinner and a decent drink special.

Coming back for years. This is your ideal "Cheers" bar. The staff and owner remember your name if you come in from time to time. You'll love this place if you are laid-back or artsy or just looking for a great pub with conversation. Regulars in the area go there for years...it's my absolute favorite place to spend a night out in Bucktown.

For anyone who has previously posted with a negative comment about the place or staff, you were probably coming in from Lincoln Park or lost on your way to Wrigleyville. This place doesn't appreciate snobs or drunk college kids.

Weird Kitchen Staff. This place is literally a block from me, but I don't quite like it anymore. I walked in thinking, wow, great food, Cubs game just started, then I try to make some conversation with the chef cooking my food. He doesn't speak much English, because I ask him, "Are you the Master Chef?" He kind of shakes his head, and I say, "You must be the Master Chef." He still doesn't know what I said.

A few minutes later one of the servers said, "He thought you asked him if he was Mexican." If he was MEXICAN? !?! WWWWTTTFFFF.

All the sudden he's going to spit/piss in my food, maybe worse???? Because he makes a fuss? Because he didn't know English well enough(don't get me wrong, he's obviously trying to learn and I'm respectful of other cultures) all of the sudden I'm put in a very uncomfortable position.

I'm like, "Are you SERIOUS?!" And the server says, "Yeah, but then I told him that you said Master Chef...etc..." And then she said, "Isn't that kind of funny?!?!" No, it's not funny, it's not funny that this guy would get riled up over a language he doesn't really understand anyway. It's not funny that I was implied as that kind of person who would insinuate another person's race. Or maybe he is predjudiced against Mexican people! If he would have just done his job and not made a fuss with the other workers than I would have enjoyed my meal and my experience and stayed there longer and gone there much more often and spent much more money there. Because of all of that, I immediately felt upset and could not enjoy my stay. I very briskly wanted to leave and I did. As soon as I got my food I took a few bites and got out of there.

The crew at Floyd's is kinda weird. I'm only going to go there again if that guy, that "Master Chef" isn't working there. Or maybe I'll just wait until the kitchen closes to go...Which is like 1am?! I walk into this place hoping to have a good time and it all goes to heck because of this dude making a fuss. Screw that.

Good place to sit back, relax, have a beer.. I went to Floyd's the first day it opened. The owner was there serving drinks with a smile. Things haven't changed since. It's a good neighborhood bar. Several tasty items on the menu. Nightly dinner special is an added bonus. Good nightly beer specials. Outside area is a place to relax and it's dog friendly.

Not your same old bar. I am surprised at some of the other reviews I read. I can't believe anyone would say the staff and owner are anything less than friendly. Everyone I take to Floyd's, love it. Floyd's is a place to go to when you want to unwind. The food is incredible, anything you choose will be worth the value. The atmosphere is inviting with it's open french doors and small tea candles at every table. Sitting outside on the patio is very relaxing and pet friendly. There are drink specials every night along with a good (not so crowded) crowd. This bar is highly recommended and is the perfect neighborhood bar to take friends and family to. Sorry not everyone can see that!!!!
