User Reviews for Avanti Staffing

I was referred to Avantil by a former client who has since changed her mind on Avanti. Met with Felice. Did my testing. Went on (1) interview. Follow up is not a strong suit for them. I traveled over 200 miles on a couple of occasions with hopes of placement somewhere. It's been almost a year and nothing. Revised summary on resume otherwise it was fine. Only minor changes made. Very disappointed.

Pros: Hmmm, let me ponder this for awhile.

Cons: Michigan Avenue, no parking. Waiting game: jobs and in office

I went to Avanti staffing for help finding a job. At first, I thought that it would be a positive experience after reading the above review, but sadly it was anything but.I as well was placed with Felice, whom I found to be very abrasive and pushy. For example,I have a degree from a very good school, lots of work experience, both in an office, and outside of one,and advanced skills on a computer. From that Felice told me that I would be able to MAYBE find a job paying 22-25,000 a year.I also took a spelling test.this spelling test had words that I was familiar with but some of them were just outright foreign. Not to mention when i said some of the words I would not have gotten wrong if I had been using a computer with spell check she said that maybe I should start carrying a mini dictionary around with me.IIs it just me, or does that just not make any sense?when is a boss or someone you work with going to go,here, edit this by hand, and then write the whole thing over with a quill pen?Moving on,about a month into my relationship with Avanti Staffing,Felice called me with a possible job that she would like me to interview for.It was a position that i was not really interested in,but I thought that I would seeI did,and it ended up that they offered me a job,but Felice said that I had to tell her on the spot if i wanted it or not.I was not able to think for an hour, let alone the weekend. This was a huge turn off for me since she seemed more sales driven than interested in my needs and feelings. After that,I did not hear from her again, except one time when she specifically called me to tell me that there was a position open for an assistant that writes power point presentations, but it would be over my head. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?WHY EVEN CALL? and to answer that, i guess going to college and making hundreds of power point presentations does not qualify me for that youre right BOTTOM LINE DONT GO THERE!

Pros: have temp positions, staff friendly when not talking about jobs

Cons: bad staffing agency, and since that is what they call themselves, i guess they are unsuccessful
