Great gear for a girls night out!

I really liked this place. They have a great variety of cosmetics and the staf there really seem to know what they are doing. I usually go to Sephora, but gave this place a whirl becuase it was walking distance from my place. I plan to use them from now on!!

• Pros: Great variety for all price levels
• Cons: parking would be tough if you needed it!

A must see for all beauty product junkies...

The Powder Room is a refreshing alternative to the frenzied aisles of sephora and overzealous sales clerks you are forced to interact with at department store beauty counters. The women in the store are not pretentious at all and are extremely knowledgeable about the products they carry. I love that the store only carries products they've thouroughly researched -- it's very obvious that this store is run by people who love what they do.

I AM NOT A PRODUCT GIRL, but I love Powder Room! The products that I have purchased have seriously improved my skin, my overall look and my attitude. The girls working there, owners Amanda and Marissa, are beauty/product experts and they make amazing recommendations. After little experimentation I have settled into becoming a loyal customer (at last! I can stop searching) of a few of the lines that they carry. You might spend a little bit more than you would at the drug store, but its worth every penny because the products work better, period. I used to shy away from even entering a store like this (again, Im not a product girl), but youll be made to feel very comfortable by the informative and friendly Powder Room girls in thier cozy Lincoln Park store. Go, look, ask questions, enjoy yourself and make sure to sample their wares!
