In Short – Set in the former Boulevard Cafe space, this upscale-casual American restaurant is the second from Dunlays on Clark owners Doug and Michael Dunlay, who partner here with Bandera and Houston's alum Derek Rettell. The menu features favorites like seared pepper-crusted sashimi tuna, "Wise Guy" pizza with sausage and onions, and a giant chocolate-chip cookie served in a skillet with vanilla ice cream. A late-night menu is available after 11pm, and brunch is served on weekends.

A couple of us went to Dunlays for a late-ish lunch on Sunday--after the lunch rush. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizer, the ever so complicated and involved preparation of chips and spinach artichoke dip and another 30 minutes for our entrees, which were equally involved: a cheeseburger and a club sandwich. The manager came over after we'd been sitting there for nearly 90 minutes to ask how things were and when I said something about the wait he said something about either a mess of tickets coming in all at the same time or losing ours--he wasn't entirely clear on the problem and at that point, I just wanted to get out of there and try to enjoy what was left of our day. He said he would have been over earlier if he knew we were one of the messed up tickets but either way, he didn't do anything to fix it. No discount or anything. I think we were most disappointed that we had stopped by the very neat farmers market to pick up dinner stuff for that night and didn't even make dinner because we ended up eating lunch so incredibly late. I've been there 4 times and 2 of those were NOT good. The second, second chances are over. $52 (not including tip) for a lunch that takes nearly 1 1/2 hours to get is not my idea of a good neighborhood spot. We will definitely not be going back.

i love dunlays! they have the nicest waitreses and the food is exelint. every time iv gone iv been satisfied. the ribs and the garlic mashed poetatoes are exelint. the ceaser salad is divine. and best of all they have a kids menu with food kids like to eat so it is a good family resturaunt

It's perfect! The food is wonderful, staff is friendly, the restaurant itself is gorgeous! We love this place and highly reccommend it to anyone! Brunch is AMAZING!! The fried egg sandwich is out of this world!
