“the banquet hall is beautiful and they did the decorations for us too which were really good.”
“Especially good is the Lamb Dahiwala, one of the best lamb curries we've ever had, and the seemingly simple Malai Chicken, which even our kids love, is never dry, and just melts in your mouth.”
“The service is not the best but it's also not the worst.”
“While the beautiful building may draw you in, the bad service is not worth it!”
AVOID!!. I was at this banquet hall for our work Christmas party. My first impression when walking in was positive-beautiful entry way and banquet rooms. As the evening progressed, the manager and staff's lack of professionalism began to surface. The company paid for open bar and an hour into the event, they ran out of common liquors. The manager was yelling at his staff for serving too many drinks. The manager was rude to my friend when she asked what vodka was available. Instead of telling her what was available, he yelled at her and said "What, you don't know what you want to drink? Show me your ID." It was rather ridiculous. The best is yet to come. Myself, my husband and 3 friends left our table to dance to the last song of the night and returned to find all of our drinks cleared off the table along with my cell phone!! Yes, my iPhone was stolen. Unless my husband or friends stole it, which isn't likely, one of the wait staff must have during clean up. I know you are thinking, why was it sitting there in the open? Answer: because I trusted that my friends and people working in this facility would not steal it. All of our belongings were sitting there the entire evening. My phone was right next to my friend's. First impressions are not always correct. The rude manager yelled at my husband and friend when they informed them of my missing iPhone, and had no interest in the fact that his staff are dishonest. I went to do one last sweep of the table we sat at and asked the staff if they found anything in the napkins or tablecloths (hoping someone would give it up). One employee said "I think you drank too much and left it somewhere." He was most likely the one who took it. Who talks to customers that way? Of course we were drinking, it was a Christmas party with open bar. Regardless, I was very aware of where my belongings were left and when my phone went missing. In conclusion, I will never return here nor recommend this facility to anyone! Avoid this place if you want excellent customer service and to keep your personal belongings.…
Skip This Place!!!. From a customer's point of view this place seems nice with all the food, decor, and hospitality. But behind that facade is a very different story. My name is Moshe D. I'm a Albanian DJ and have deejayed at over 80 venues and banquet halls in almost 10 years. I have never been treated with so much disrespect by the management in my 10 years until i walked into this Hell Hole! in late August or early September I had the displeasure of deejaying an event at this place. First, the manager, a very obese African American man with glasses, just trying to descibe the man so you know him when you see him, was yelling at the employees that they were not working fast enough to get a room dressed up. Secondly, he took all my business cards off all the tables and put them in a pile infront of me and said that they don't allow business cards on the tables because they are too tacky. Well, the upset videographer who was standing behind me with a pile of returned cards said that he is going to delete any reference of Ashyana Banquets in his video because having its name in the video is too tacky! The jerk also returned the decorators cards to. She said that she is going to tell her wedding planner to persuade all her clients to not go to Ashyana banquets. One guy told me the other day that Ashyana doesn't want business cards on their tables because they have their own dj's, Videographer's, decorater's, etc. And they want their guests to believe that Ashyana was the one who provided those things. I guess you can call it a monopoly. Finally, Drury Lane, Sabre Room, Chateau Del Mar, are much much better.…
Place was awesome as was the service.
I find it difficult to understand some of the reviews, I think some people would have issues with whatever banquet hall they choose.
Keep one thing in mind to anyone planning an event, your hard work will determine the event. If you want service, command it. I wanted everything to be perfect and it was, but I continually followed up and created a dialogue with the manager.
Our event turned out nice, everyone coordinated perfectly. Food was good, night was fun!…
False promises and worst service.
We had very bad experience with service provided by the service staff of the banquet hall. Though we paid $5.00 for each person for the table srevice FAMILY STYLE). The service staff very arrogant
and
rude . The manager is also in the same category and indifferent to the customers complaints. We advise the every body intending customers to think before they decide to have their parties there.
GOLEWALE…
Best indian food... ok service.... Being of an Indian origin, I'm very picky about Indian food. This restaurant is my favorite because they come closest to the food I have had in good restaurants in India. Also if you tell them to make food spicy, they will make it right. It is a bit on the more expensive side but it's worth it in my opinion. The service is not the best but it's also not the worst. So I won't say it's a con. There aren't any windows in the restaurant so it's a bit of a different environment. The only con is that buffet food is not that great. It does not taste anything like the same dishes when ordered separately. So avoid that.…
