Editorial Review for Indie Cafe Sushi & Thai – by Fred Schlatter

In Short
Barely noticeable from the outside, Indie Cafe is a cozy retreat with an exposed sushi bar, muted grey tones, soft hanging lighting, and quiet electronic music. Locals pack close tables for thrumming conversation and a tempting combo of Thai fare and sushi. Thai fare includes aromatic options like nasal-clearing tom yum and red or green curries; sushi lovers can opt for maki like the rainbow roll, a California roll topped with tuna, yellowtail, and salmon.

BYOB to help alleviate the spice, or try the fragrant, malty hot tea, also a satisfying accompaniment.

With little more than a small window sign in a row of several other shops, Indie Cafe is easy to miss.

My husband and I eat here frequently and we love it. Their food is always fresh and their staff is very friendly. They just added another room so It's not as crowded as is used to be which is nice. Street parking is usually pretty easy. We LOVE thai food and this is 1of our 2 top places!

I've been in the restraunt, and the food is great. From the outside one doesn't expect the classy sushi chic design. The food is great! I just ordered them in this evening, and the wait time for delivery seems a little long, but well worth the wait.

Pros: great food, great ambiance

Cons: a little on the slow side
