Limo Ride to bella lounge.
i called bella to reserve table for my bachelor party, they were very kind and ready to assist, not rude like crowbar. They also suggest me Empire Limo which was on their preferred vendor list.
we had lots of fun with my Buddies.Thank you bella.Neat place.
Boiling Point... Or just Horrid Service. 5 Girlfriends and I went to the trendy chic looking lounge expecting a great girls nite phenomenal food, fantastic eye candy and were completely expecting to take full advantage of the 24/7 Tuesday specials as listed on the website. When we arrived for our 7:30 reservations ? it still took us 35 minutes to be seated in a establishment that seats 86 (per the website) and there were only 3 patrons seated at the bar. Our server seemed under the influence of several lines of coke. We waited 25 minutes for Iced Tea that we never recieved when we asked him about it the first time he told us he forgot. The second time he swore he was not hiding from us but he was back there looking at the Iced teas. The third time we flagged him down in the empty resturant we asked him to bring us his manager. The special that lured us to the lounge that is (to-date 8-15-07; 9:47a.m) listed on the website was per the t-shirt and torn jean clad manager over as of 2 months ago. There were so many unprofessional things that happened when the manager finally came over I fully expected him to reveal that we were on boiling point. Stay Away Chicago. This place is awful
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. The customer service at Bella Lounge is the worst I have experienced in a long time. I am a long-time resident of Chicago and have come to expect the good, bad and ugly. This place definitely qualifies as one of the 'ugly.' It doesn't help that this location has occupied at least four different bars in the past eight years. I wouldn't be surprised if Bella Lounge was the fifth one to go.
Awesome night life.
The food was great, the service was speedy, and the fireplace adds a romantic touch for singles or couples dating...Wild, yet mild (doubble negative, but you guys get the point)
Great atmosphere. The night I went was crowded due to St. Patty's Day, but the atmosphere still was amazing. The decor and comfy chairs and couches make it very sophisticated and chic but not snooty. I've heard it's usually a pretty chill atmosphere and I am eager to go back on a quieter night.
Great chill lounge. I've been here several times and have enjoyed myself each time. Good music, good drinks, good atmosphere in a great neighborhood!
Just what I thought. My recent visit to the bella lounge was a world of fun. I took some out of town friends there after reading some decent reviews. We had a great time and I think the whole group loved it. Even one of them called me about how much she loved it and couldnt wait to come back to chicago. Really great music was being played with some great food.
A rude doorman & a 2-3 hour wait at 9:45pm: that was my first Bella Lounge experience. The experience didn't go much further than that - after 20 minutes, my friends & I left.
A rude hostess who refused to seat us for dinner: that was my second (and last) Bella Lounge experience. We walked in at 7pm around Christmas and asked, "How long are we looking at for a table for two?" Her response: "You're not." Needless to say, we left.
What a pretentious, wannabe-LA/Miami dump. I can't believe that treating people like scum & then charging them $10 for a mixed drink is considered a viable business plan. I hope they go out of business after the novelty wears off & the next "trendy" place opens.
fab. great place. great crowd. great atmosphere. cute staff. i had a wonderful time.
Living in the neighborhood, my husband and I stopped in for drinks one night. The staff is successful at being overly pretentious and mimic the same unsophisticated attitude as their clientele. Perhaps the staff should be made aware that the people they are rude to are perhaps the EXACT people they should be catering to, as one may never know WHO they have offended!
Not to say that everything in Bella is bad; as a designer, I appreciate the overall design and details, as even the bathrooms are a treat for the senses. It is unfortunate that the owners who put so much into planning & design have the experience tarnished by staff that is allowed to 'put on airs'. It seems to be an unappropriate and outdated tactic to create the facade that the establishent attracts the rich and beautiful. Let the design will speak for itself.
