The Scene
Cool and contemporary, the bi-level space evokes a deep-sea feel with dark-wood furnishings and iridescent-curtained windows. Coral colors pop in pillows on silvery banquettes; a wall of starfish behind the second-level bar and ceiling panels painted to suggest waving seaweed further the aquatic feel. Attentive servers cater to the bustling crowd of affluent locals and visitors.

The Food
Carefully presented seafood with several raw-bar options are the menu's hallmarks. Six varieties of fresh oysters, and foie gras served on a thick bed of berry bread pudding are standout starters. For entrees, Maine sea scallops--golden on the surface and tender inside--are lined up on a semolina cake and drizzled with foie gras sauce; and flaky seared Chilean sea bass is served with broccoli rabe and olive tapenade. Non-seafood options include N.Y. strip and tender lamb loin, sliced and served with a rich, buttery gratin of sweet potatoes, brie and figs.

I loved everything about this place. It was beautiful on the inside, the waitstaff was among the best, and the food was absolutely marvelous. We must have ordered every piece of sushi available. I think this place is better than Shaw's in every aspect.

Terrific Food. Service was even better. We enjoyed our evening. Even the music fit the restaurant. It was a simple date with my wife. Just the two of us. Our waiter gave us enough time to enjoy the evening but did not leave us wondering where our food or drinks were. The meal with drinks took 90 minutes. The menu is varied but easy for my wife to choose a shrimp cocktail...simple but fresh and good. I started with fresh oysters on a half shell. Our waiter, Keith had extensive notes on the qualities of the various types of oysters. They were very fresh and exactly as described. We settled on entres until Keith described a terrific poached lobster special...My wife was sold and not disappointed with the choice. My Halibut was perfect and the grilled asparagus was the ideal complement. It is a little loud and the tables close together but somehow it just seemed part of the atmosphere. All in all I give it a strong recommend. Not cheap but worth it.
