Behind a boutique offering clothing, gifts and accessories, a tea room serves light bites like scones, truffles, quiche and sandwiches.
Loved this tea room!

Nice tea selection from standard Earl Grey to Chai. Excellent finger sandwiches - particularly the chicken salad. Warm sweet scones with clotted cream were delicous and made fresh. It was a nice break from the chilly weather outside.
Biggest Rip-off for Afternoon Tea
by DimpledSmile at Citysearch
I feel I need to write this review to protect my fellow consumers. Anyone reading this should see that SEVERAL others share my opinion and do not recommend this place for the same reasons, which should raise enough concerns on whether you'd want to host an event here.
I am not normally this harsh, but I thought this place was pretty awful. I hosted a shower for 16 ladies, and I was actually quite embarrassed by how chintzy it seemed (not enough tea nor food although I paid per head). While the afternoon tea seems to be less expensive than that at the Ritz, Drake, Penninsula, etc, it's definitely one of those situations where you get what you pay for. The reason it's cheaper is because you pay per person, but there are not enough items on the tiers for each person nor does everyone get to pick his/her own tea. In fact, we had 6 girls sharing one kettle of tea! I arranged for the "Exotic" afternoon tea menu ahead of time and then was told they were out of the proscuitto sandwich. What is the point of taking my order if they didn't plan on having it anyway? The food and desserts are nothing special and rather uninspired, if you manage to try them (since there are not enough for everyone to try).
Our waitress copped some attitude and was tacky enough to talk about billing in front of the guest of honor, which made everyone feel a bit uncomfortable. I also thought it was convenient that the credit machine "wasn't working" the day I hosted my large event, although I didn't hear either of the other two walk in customers get a warning like this.
None of the women who came to that shower would be willing to come back to that place even though many of them do afternoon tea frequently.
Delightful Chicago Tea Room

I love this place ? I never thought of myself as a tea person, but after attending a baby shower tea at Unique So Chique, I am now hooked. What a delightful place this is ? super friendly staff, great service, and truly delicious food.
My favorites are the finger sandwiches with apricot and walnut, and the prosciutto with herbed goat cheese. For sweets, you can?t beet the apricot orange and butterscotch coconut scones. And did I mention the fabulous chocolate truffles!? I am anxious to go back and try some of the other goodies offered.
There?s also a delightful shop attached to the tea room ? great for gifts of all kinds. I highly recommend Unique So Chique as both a tea room and a venue for unique gifts.
Just all in all, a wonderful experience.
