DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!. Went Memorial Day weekend where the promo sez "Party" and there were two others there by midnite plus bartnder was bitchy and no drink specials as promised since we were on the "list" which i never saw either! Poor atmosphere! Very poor staff! Biggest waste of time and gas goin there for two minutes before we left!!!!
Jet's Hot!. We went to Jet on a Thursday night they have the hottest bartenders who are actually very nice and helpful about their 120 Vodkas. The guys were all good looking and there to spend money. I think Jet is even better now that its not as crowded as when they first opened in July. The place is small but all white and stylish. At the end of the night we bought a bottle of Moet and a bottle of Italian Vodka called Mezzaluna. It was definetly resonable and a delicious time!!!! But if you dont want to spend the cash ....go for the $2.00 well drinks THursday.
Lincoln Park lounge flies high with more than 130 types of vodka and an icy, jetliner interior..
The Scene
Bouncers keep the list close to their chests when tending the velvet rope at this aviation-inspired club. Once they get the go-ahead, girls in designer denim and guys in collared shirts enter what resembles a Boeing 777: a stark white room with a curved ceiling illuminated by moody lighting and projected screen images. Ice coolers built inside seat cubes to keep the vodka chilled are a nice touch, as are the risque hemlines worn by stewardesses/servers coiffed with sleek, Gwen Stefani ponytail hair. Keep an eye out for when they climb on the banquettes for a quick dance. Boogie space is missing for everyone else.
The Draw
The menu features more than 130 different types of vodka, including the $400-a-bottle Jewel of Russia and the coveted Skorppio brand. Specialty drinks abound, but scenesters with plenty of disposable income come for the high-end bottle service.
Disagree.
I see there is only one review up and I would like to respectfully disagree with the reviewer. Yes, I was at the opening and the dancers on top of the speakers were a little tacky. However, this was not a permanent feature...it was only for the preview and opening parties. Also, I have experienced bottle service at other Chicago hotspots (Reserve, Le Passage, etc) and I can honestly say that $285 for a bottle of Ketel One is not unheard of, nor is it exorbitant, relatively speaking. The cocktails and martinis are reasonably priced, also in terms of the type of club that it is.
I found the service to be impeccable, the knowledge of the staff to be extensive, and the selection to be unparalleled. There is no other place quite like it in Chicago and I plan to be a frequent visitor (or should I say "flyer").
Bring Singles to Tip the Strippers. My friends and I were expecting a classy place to chill. We were greeted by friendly doorstaff and servers and found the drinks tasty and affordable--particularly the innovative vodka flights. We thought this place had potential--until the "dancers" climbed up on the ledge above our heads and started grinding to the music. They were wearing the facial expressions of lobotomy victims, along with microminis and thongs that put everything out on display. Guys might be thrilled with the Bada Bing aspect of this bar but classy ladies should be warned to stay away.
Have a Plan B. First and foremost, its obscene for them to charge $285.00 for a bottle of Ketel One that you can buy in any liquor store for less than $25.00. When we asked what was up with that, we were told "its the atmosphere." OK, fair enough. However, the strippers that came out at 11:00 to bare their thong-clad butts to everyone sitting in the booths below them, put us right over the edge. If we wanted to pay for a strip show, we would have been at VIP. Someone at Jet is confused. If you want a combination of class and trash, Jet is it. I just don't see this club hanging on for long. Won't go back.
