“So overall, great drinks, long wait, and uncomfortable atmosphere.”
“This is a good place to go after work on a Friday night, a little more steep for a beer then your local hole in the wall but it has an interesting party room downstairs.”
“The service is very slow but you do get your drink eventually, and when you do it's mighty tasty.”

Hope & Barley, great place, great time..
Great place for food. I love the wings on Sundays. Best deal around.
Great music and plenty to watch on all 6 tv screens.
I love the wood work of the bar, very comfortable feel.
Oh, and Saturdays, kids eat for FREE.
Love it.
Hops and Barley WHOOP WHOOP. This is the best bar and grill I have ever been to.... everyone is extremely nice, and there food is to die for, though I do agree the price is a little steeper that an average bar, its well worth the visit... Karaoke every Wednesday night at 10 oclock... and Bean Bag Tournaments on Tuesday.... the Brunette (female) Bartender is the sweetest thing ever!
Freindly place. This is a good place to go after work on a Friday night, a little more steep for a beer then your local hole in the wall but it has an interesting party room downstairs.
Harp on Tap. I was excited going into this bar last week as I was hooking up with friends from California - we had a waitress that was good - however if you go to the bar to get a drink watch your money!! The bartender overcharged for everything - all of a sudden it was $13 for a Harp on tap and two Miller Lites - when we ordered from the waitress it was $10 - they charge more for you to get up and get your own drink? When my boyfriend ordered two shots of Jack and a Guiness it was $20 - whaaat?
Its alright..... This bar was alright....I think that the drinks are over slightly overpriced for the area...the place is really scrunched together, and its very uncomfortable to sit with people so close to your table. The service is very slow but you do get your drink eventually, and when you do it's mighty tasty. So overall, great drinks, long wait, and uncomfortable atmosphere. If you are bored and want to go have a drink, this is the place.
Nightlife gets a boost in the Portage Park/Jefferson Park neighborhood..
In Short
Part sports bar, restaurant and lounge, this casual joint covers all its bases. The extra-wide ground floor has a long bar, high-top tables, 12 beers on tap and a beyond-bar food menu that includes coconut shrimp appetizers, ribs and New York strip steak. A diverse crowd socializes in the glow of large flat-screen monitors ringing the room, while a carpeted downstairs lounge with sofas beckons for more intimate conversation.
