“Plenty of romantic nooks for a cozy dinner for two.”
“She attempted to serve it in a DIRTY wine glass and was outwardly annoyed when we asked for a clean glass.”
“They beef came accompanied with some type of bitter green stuffed phyllo dough rings.”
“think this is a good place for drinks and appetizers, but I would recommend other great restaurants in the area for dinner!”
“The female bartender who was working the night we were in was BAD.”
“find Landmark to be a bit overpriced but you are paying for the atmosphere and ambiance.”
Don't go unless it's for the pizza or discounted wine Weds. A girl friend and I wanted to grab some dinner and drinks somewhere with a happy hour scene yet that still had quality food. So we both decided to try Landmark. The service was impeccable, but the food (other than the pizza) was very disappointing. We ordered a bottle of cabernet sauvignon, which I thought wasn't that great, it had a lingering bitter aftertaste. We ordered the mushroom pizza with truffle oil. It was a perfect thin crust, crisp, flavorful, with just the right amount of truffle oil. I ordered the Kobe beef sliders with foie gras & shoestring potatoes with moroccan ketchup as my entree and she ordered the braised beef dish with barley. The buns on my sliders were cold, and the meat was barely warm. The meat was skimpy, it was mostly bread, and I could barely see or taste any foie gras. The shoestring fries came alongside little squiggles of ketchup on the plate. The fries were all cold and very unappetizing. My friend's braised beef was tender, but bland. We had to ask for salt and more ketchup. They beef came accompanied with some type of bitter green stuffed phyllo dough rings. Sadly, my friend enjoyed the barley the most. The downstairs bar was empty when we came in at 8pm, but by 10pm, there were people downstairs, and the music was a great mix of hip hop and R&B. The music was great, the service was great, the food sadly, was not up to par. I'd maybe consider going back for pizza and wine, but that's about it.
Fun. I went to a friend of a friends birthday party here, it was fun. We payed $20 for open bar for 2 hours. They had a private room with a private bar, so the drinks cam fast. The room that we were in was beautiful. I would recommend it for drinks, I haven't tried the food.

I likey. I would go again! Not a bad location and it was easy to get to. The food was pretty good, but I enjoyed the drinks the most!
Eh, I hear it is a good drinking place but avoid the food. We were visiting from NYC. My boyfriend took me here to meet his sister and friend. It was reccommnended to us from someone who visited Chicago and thought their porkchops were the bomb. I have to say their food was AVERAGE at best. The service was friendly but those porkschops were not even cooked all the way, and fatty too. The caramelized onion barbecue sauce drowned the porkchops. It seemed as if they marinaded it too long because it tasted like ham. The tomato gazpacho they brought out to cleanse the pallette left a weird aftertaste in our mouths- we agreed that it had a meaty taste to it. I had their boneless chickenwings stuffed with merguez sausage that was okay. The skin of the chicken was a little gross to pick through. As a main course, I ordered the trout which was again, just okay. For the price of the place I expected more than what Chili's offers. I would have preferred Chili's to this place. I will reiterate that the staff was friendly and attentive. But that could be due to the fact that there were only 3-4 tables with patrons.
Best Dining Indulgence!. Where to start... What an amazing dining experience! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left. The entire staff made us feel as if we had been dining there for years and were their favorite patrons. The food was outstanding and the ambiance was wonderful. We are looking forward to our next dining experience at Landmark Grill & Lounge!
Best Pizza. ok i will type more than 100 but this is bs. this is just a test. just a test. ok? just a test? damn you.
EVERYTHING was fantastic!.
My girlfriend and I came down from Minneapolis to Chicago for a Valentines Day weekend. I chose Landmark Grill off of reviews from Citysearch and I am so glad we went! We started with the fennel shrimp. It had a great unique/great flavor and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. I ordered the tenderloin with bone marrow hollandaise and my girlfriend ordered a marinated white fish. Both were excellent. Our server suggested the mac and cheese as a side so we took his advice. It was insane! I didn't know mac and cheese could be that good.
The only con to the place was that our table was right next to the kitchen and a server kiosk. It seemed there wasn't much area for servers and they were always milling around. Next time I would suggest a table upstairs by the front windows.
Surprising find.
Had a chance encounter with Landmark Grill recently. Was out with a bunch of friends and one of the girls picked the spot.
Initially, from the look of the place, I was not confident. It didn't look bad per se, but it definitely wasn't my style. Loud, some glitz, more kind of a lounge feel with the leopard patterns upstairs, chrome kind of look.
But, here is the part I really enjoyed. Food was excellent. I had a wonderful risotto appetizer and a great glazed porkchop for an entree. Really very good stuff.
I am probably not the type that frequents this restaurant. I'm definitely more conservative and older than the crowd I saw there. But, if you are into a louder environment, it's worth the trip.
