“The atmosphere is ao authentic italien - there's even italien movies playing on screens in every corner.”
“Best dishes (and prices) in Chicago, great location, either for lunch or dinner, excellent wine list, and great desserts.”
“love sharing small plates with a couple friends, sipping on great cheap wine, socializing with witty and funny waitiers, people watching at hectic restaurants, and enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Chicago so this restaurant was perfect for me!”
“am a huge fan of the Gnocchi (potato dumplings in a pesto sauce).”
“think by far, Quartino is the best value in the city (at least for their lunch menu).”
“If you guys read this, tell Eric he's a great asset to your restaurant!”

“Excellent food, wait staff is usually good, prices are fair!”
“The service was slow, the layout is poor, they try to cram too many people in too little a space, and the food was just mediocre.”View Less
The Best!. My husband and I agree, this is the best Italian food that we have ever had. We actually live in Nashville, TN but love to go to Chicago for fun. Quartino's atmosphere and friendly staff make the dining experience wonderful. The pasta is super fresh and I believe it's because they actually make it there in the restaurant. Everything is delicious. I have never been to Italy but I imagine this is what the food would be like and tast like. It's real Italian and real good! I definitely recommend it!!…
For Tourists. This is on the tourist strip and is full of tourists. It is so loud. The food was average at best. It simply was not a comfortable experience.
Not for groups!. This is not a place to go if you have a large group. We had a reservation for 15 at 6:00 PM. We arrived and waited an hour past our reservation time to be seated. (It was a Wednesday night.) They told us everyone in our party had to be present, and would not seat us, despite having a large enough table open. It would have been easy to take a smaller table away if everyone did not show up (and they could have sold quite a bit of food and alcohol to the table in that time). The food at Quartino is good, but stay away if you're more than 4 people.…
Best Italian in a While.
My mom and I ate there together, and we both agreed that it was an awesome restaurant. We sat at the bar first and enjoyed a couple drinks. The bartender was awesome. There was a dripping ceiling,
which was kind of annoying, but the bartender tried to clean it as well as he could.
The waitress was okay. She wasn't overly nice, but that's maybe preferred. We made our own antipasto tray, which was fun and tasted good. My mom ordered a shrimp and fettucine dish, which came out before my pasta. That was a little annoying. I guess the idea is to share, but I don't like shrimp. So I had to wait for my food. When my pasta arrived, it was very good. Their marinara sauce is excellent.
I would recommend this place to anyone. It has some really good Italian food, good wine list, and fair prices.…
Excellent Italian Food !!!. This is a great Italian resturant. I went there with my sister in the summer before we saw Wicked. We sat on the patio. The prices were very reasonable and the wine was so good!!! You can create your own antipasto tray which was nice. I will definately be back and I would recommend this place to friends. I've eaten at alot of Italian resturants and this one is at the top. Good job to the owner and the staff.…
