Quaint Atmosphere with Tasty Food. I enjoyed Hashbrowns for their small town atmosphere and great breakfast. It's a great location for UIC students and those in University Village. I highly recommend the turkey sausage :-)

Try the pancakes!!. I found Hashbrowns quite cozy and enjoyed my trip. I disagree about previous reviews regarding the Hashbrowns. I found them to be different and very good. I also extremely enjoy the pancakes that come with a vanilla sauce. The staff is very friendly and I've already went back again!

Dry eggs, Ok hasbrowns and Great Pancakes. I was very hungry and very excited for breakfast......I wanted eggs and potatoes, I wanted them bad. My wife and I were very excited about this place as it is walking distance from our house. I liked

the vibe of the place, even liked the bathroom signs.

6 of us showed up for breakfast and I sampled almost all 6 plates....every egg dish (including

my anticipated omlete) was very dry. I did not like the hashbrowns, nor were they warm.

The coffee and pancakes we ordered as an appatizer were very, very good. Hashbrowns will need

to improve their eggs and HASHBROWNS. I will give it one more try and change this review if its

better then.

At best O.K.. While basing their theme on the idea of innovative and creative types of hashbrowns - their actual hashbrown selection was limited to only a handful. Their sweet potato hashbrowns were good, but far from fantastic and that goes for their house speciality hashbrown as well. Since an order of hashbrowns does not make a meal, I decided to order an omelet. Making an omelet decision was difficult - only because the options did not sound worthy of a try. The idea of a Maxwell Street polish sausage omelet does not sound appealing at all to me. The omelet that I ordered was over cooked (dry) and lacking in the goodness category. The wait staff was comprised of young attractive females wearing tight jeans and exposing their mid-riffs wasn't professional enough for me to recommend Hashbrowns as a place for families or fine dining. To be fair I have only eaten at Hashbrowns once, however I am not making return plans any time soon.

Editorial Review. University Village Marketplace anchors this breakfast and lunch nook known for its trademark spuds and omelettes.
