They're revamping the bar, so in the meantime, grab a table and go hungry for the Caesar salad cart, pretzel-crusted crab cake, or, of course, steak.

Steak is great, but their complimentary popovers are the bomb dot com. Don't leave DB's without 'em!
Best Breakfast at a steakhouse?!. I am here to let you know that the breakfast at Primehouse is wonderful! The many healthy selections are great and the food was prepared quickly and looked and tasted phenomenal! Everything that we tried was amazing. The smoothies, the donut holes, the omletes, berry pancakes, awesome selection of hot teas...it was great. Highly recommended!
Wonderful steaks and really cool atmosphere. Again, slightly not traditional steak house atmosphere, but great great food. Burke's is one to the few places in Chicago that dry ages and the taste totally comes through. I went when they had just opened and the experience was still great. We ordered WAY too much food and managed to eat it all because it was so wonderful. The standouts were the steaks for sure, the tempura green beans, the leather infused Manhattan and the lollipop tree! Burke's is a must try for steak lovers. The service was also wonderful, Burke himself was there that night and personally asked almost every table how the food was, it didn't look like there was a single complaint!
Slightly Better Than Average. Probobly the best lobster bisque I have ever eaten. The service was lacking a little however I believe our waitress was new. The steak was good, but not great.
Would never go back. My husband and I ate here on October 6 to celebrate his birthday. The waiter spilled a beer all over my head/neck and cashmere sweater. While the restaurant was quick to clean it up, we got ZERO compensation for this incident. They did not even offer the beer that they spilled to us for free. We spent well over $200 for our meal (which was pretty good) and they offered us nothing. WE WILL NEVER DINE HERE AGAIN and we would like to let everyone know that David Burke cannot be bothered with great customer service. I experience better customer service at Chili's or other chain restaurants. Extremely disappointing.
AMAZING steaks in a very chic spot!. This could very well be one of our new favorites. The service was outstanding, and the sommelier nailed our wine tastes from just a few hints as to what we were in the mood for. The wine he pulled for us was worth the reservation alone. My boyfirend and I both loved our meals, and my filet oscar couldn't have been more perfect. The deserts were just as outstanding, and I LOVED the cheesecake lolipop tree... fun and (sinfully) delicious! The decor is minimalist chic, right down to the water faucets in the bathrooms. The lounge has a very cool vibe, and I'll definately be back there for drinks. We can't wait to bring our friends!
so-so steakhouse. Kind of a cool looking spot. Not a big fan of dry-aged beef so didn't care for the steaks very much. Favorite thing was the crabcake with some kind of pretzel coating, it was pretty good. Everyone was pretty nice, it just didn't excite me very much
Great Steaks!. Our waitress was very limited in her knowledge of the menu. Nice wine list. Sommeliers were fantastic. Steaks were great! Dessert was good too. Nice bar/lounge. Average to expensive for what you get food wise. Cool decor for a "steakhouse".
This modern interpretation of the classic steakhouse attracts a see-and-be-seen River North crowd..
A steakhouse for the new millennium, this polished restaurant combines old-school elements with a decidedly modern slant. From the wood-paneled entrance, a floor-to-ceiling, glass-enclosed wine case bends toward the dining room, revealing a warmly lit space, where an attractive mix of young professionals and on-the-town groups relax in leather chairs at U-shaped booths and tables topped with custom red covers. On the menu, contemporary interpretations of classics feature Prime beef handpicked from Creekstone Farms in Kentucky. Stellar starters include melt-in-the-mouth Kobe beef sashimi served on a block of Himalayan salt, while the falling-off-the-bone Black Angus oxtail pot roast is an unmissable main course. For dessert, cheesecake lollipops arranged to resemble a tree are a whimsical ending.
