“They have really good food at a reasonable price.”
Awful Customer Service.
I entered Blue Elephant with high recommendations from a friend but upon arrival, I soon discovered that my friend was sadly mistaken. The mongolian beef I ordered was severely undercooked. When I complained to the owner, who I might add can afford to lose some weight, he appeared not to care at all. I asked for a refund and he seemed to laugh, as if I was lying. I could not believe his attitude.
I will never go to this establishment again.
Maybe when you are overweight, you will eat anything, but I am customer who cannot afford to trust my food to the standards of an obese man.
Horrible and rude customer service wtih mediocre food. What made it unique or special?I will NEVER order from them again!!! I ordered over $34 and was supposed to get a free pad thai. They did not bring the free pad thai. My friend placed the order on her credit card and I thought she gave him a tip. First, I didn't get my pad thai and when I called the restaurant for it, they would not bring it to us because we had not tipped the driver!!! Are you kidding me?? Since when is a tip required to get what you ordered??? They get a $2.50 deliver fee and they are down the street!! I would have given the idiot $5 if he would have brought the pad thai back to us. Unbelievable horrible customer service and the food is very mediocre at best!!!
Wonderful Pan-Asian Cuisine. This restaurant serves up generous portions of (mostly Thai-inspired) noodle and rice dishes. The crab rangoon is especially good! The prices are reasonable, the service is great, and there is a wine list. I would recommend eating in the outdoor cafe if the weather permits.
Fragrant Thai dishes made within diners' reach are trademarks of this Rogers Park eatery..
In Short
Inside seating is precious real estate in this minimalist L-shaped dining room that shares the same space as an exhibition kitchen. Track lighting illuminates still-life art hung on robin's egg blue walls that pale in comparison to the artful presentation of curries, noodles and rice dishes served in heaping portions on colorful, enormous plates. Servers are so close to the action that no water glass is left unfilled.
Very charming local thai restaurant. Very friendly service, great prices, and wonderful food!. The friendly service is reason enough to go, but when you add in the delicious pan-asian food (mostly Thai inspired) and prices that are reasonable enough for a college student to eat their often, it is a really great local restaurant. The menu is very diverse with many great dishes. All are delicious and affordable, with very generous portions, so you can always try something new or settle with an old favorite. The noodle dishes are particularly great. For those that have trouble deciding, the kind and patient service is always willing to make a recommendation. It is hard not to become a regular to this charming place, and it is especially nice to eat out doors during fair weather.
