Our breakfast staple!. Great food, great atmosphere. Not sure what the other reviews are talking about with the bad serivce, I have been there MANY times and never had a problem with the service. They are busy but that is a good thing. The food is made in a smaller kitchen, when you order it, so don't expect some assembly line. Love the people, love the food and am waiting hungry for the reopening down the street!
Great place to eat!!. I ahve been to many spots around town for breakfast and I really enjoyed the food here. The service wasn't so good and it's a little pricey, but hey what place isn't.
best french toast in town!. dodo is a great little place...dodo has grown and matured...and is better everytime we visit. i love the french toast, sometimes i get maple bananas, sometimes not. my roommate always gets the classic eggs and bacon, the eggs are always perfectly done, and the multigrain toast is awesome. the wait staff is always friendly and attentive. i wish they were open for dinner!!!! lunch is good too...but i have only been there twice for lunch. we usually go weekday mornings before work. we have been there on the weekends and it is much busier....but great for them....sad for us....our little secret breakunch place is out of the bag....highly reccomend dodo! go during the week if you can....different feel during the week... but always the same great food!!!
Ukrainian Village neighborhood eatery feels like a home kitchen, with both traditional and more adventurous fare..
In Short
With images of the namesake bird, Dodo is a comfortable spot to catch a meal. Close seating and an open-kitchen setup lend the friend's kitchen appeal. Breakfast (served all day) includes traditional eggs, oatmeal and pancakes as well as a Japanese pancake with carrots. Lunch sandwiches include a pattie melt, Croque Monsieur and a pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and provolone cheese. Weekends are breakfast only, but see as many as six specials daily.
AVOID.
Do not give this place your time or money. To call it service would be a joke. I eat out all the time and have NEVER seen this horrible of a place anywhere. Weiner circle is the Ritz compared to this place.
Hopefully it will close before you ever have to consider wasting your time here.
Exactly what the neighborhood needs. Great brunch place! Very cozy atmosphere, extremely friendly service. The menu is refreshingly different. I had the granola, which was very tasty, and the ciabatta toast which was also pleasing to the palatte!
