The Scene – Minimalist yet comfortable, this Ravenswood storefront boasts few embellishments other than a lone windowside nook to the right of the entrance covered with jewel-toned pillows and deep fabrics embossed with gold leaf. A plush, ivory sherpa rug adorns a terra-cotta-colored wall to the left, while white linens blanket tables throughout the one-room space. We actually arrived early (7pm) for a huge dinner party of 30 and didn't leave until close to 11pm. The appetizers and entrees took way too long to arrive and there was nothing impressive about the entire meal. It's located on a quiet street and the atmosphere was terribly lacking. The waiter suggested that we do family style but people who did not like Chicken or Lamb were left starving. I think there are plenty of other places to eat than here.

Since I usually check out all the new restaurants I had to check to this place as well. It was way far (took 20 min from downtown). I was excited about this place, after reading some good reviews. Hmmm... The place was way average or maybe below it. The food was okay but i'd had better. The mood? Not even close to the description I read. It need a makeover badly! and the waiter rushed us. Overall, i felt bad that I dragged my friends this far.
- Pros: inexpensive
- Cons: interior
