In Short
Mag Mile professionals and residents have their choice of light options for lunch or dinner at this soup-only eatery. Creamy standards like New England clam chowder, potato and leek and rosemary chicken with dumplings are just some examples of the 12 daily specials offered in three sizes. Bread accompanies all broth selections, with bread bowls also available for extra soakage.

The quality is better at Panera, but you get a better variety at SoupBox. Of course, Panera also gives you half a sandwich with a better soup for nearly the same price, so it's up to you how you value your money.

Most people I know swear this is the best soup they've ever had, but I'm not so sure. It's decent, but very overpriced for what you get. It's easy to spend ten dollars per person. All in all, I was disappointed.

I don't know how I happened upon this place, but it'll go down in my book as the best soup ever. I always search for clam chowder in a bread bowl, because it reminds me of Boudin's in San Francisco... and I never find anything comparable. That is until I found the soup box. They offer 12 different kinds of soup, but no matter what I highly recommend getting any soup you order in the bread bowl (which is made fresh, daily). I've only had the clam chowder and the broccoli cheddar, which have both exceeded my expectations. The staff has always been charming.
