In Short – Like its slowly materializing neighborhood, this South Loop spot has a few identities. A handsome wooden bar complements adjacent booths, separated by swaths of sail canvas. Wood four-tops and sturdy chairs fill the rest of the room, and a back wall features colorful nautical flags. - Food is decidedly upscale; corn flapjacks get topped with prosciutto and ancho sauce, and halibut arrives beside carrot flan.
- When to Go:
- The neighborhood is still inventing itself so worthwhile times are tough to predict. Look for an after work rush during the week, and an early dinner crowd on weekends.

Great laid back atmosphere any night of the week

Love going to this place after work to unwind. The atmosphere is laid back and the service is good. They are very accommodating to groups.
- Pros: great beer and burger special Monday nights
- Cons: the south loop is up and coming, but hasn't quite made it

Great Service, Great Beer, Great Food

The incredible gourmet food selections coupled with a great tap makes this a must if you live in and around the south loop area. Also, great atmoshphere once football season starts.

Great Food, layed (they won't let me spell it right) back atmosphere

This is a great addition to the south loop neighborhood. Food is good, drinks are good and atmosphere is nice. I like the sailing theme. It is never crowded which is actually one of the things that I like about it. I am sure that will change. The only downside to this place is the oddity that they do not take American Express. As a result, I do not go there as often as I normally would as I put everything on my amex!
- Pros: atmosphere, not crowded, clean and realtively smoke free
- Cons: no Amex?
