prove your individuality. I highly recomend this designer boutique for the individual looking outside the box of the ordinary department and chain stores. This boutique offers a variety of styles. Not to mention they come from your fellow chicagoan designers, along with other emerging designers. So, if you are like I am and hate to wear what everyone else is wearing, check this store out, you are bound to find something!

Habit=Love. When I head to Wicker Park, this is definately my first store to shop at. I love the concept behind the store: a place for designers to start. All of the items sold are from emerging designers--meaning, what you buy here is always different and unique!

The store is set up very cute, too. And I love the accessories! If you are a jewelry lover, check out the pieces they have there! Pretty amazing :)

Fun fashions, more for the young. The prices are great and the service is always attentive. Parking can be tricky on weekends, but I usually luck out during the week. A really fun place with unique clothes. Definitely a must-visit place if you have never gone.

Best Trendy Boutique. I happened upon this shop the night of its Grand Opening and have made it a point of returning every time I get to the city! The clothes are super, affordable and they fit me!!! Heather and all of the other people who work there are always so friendly and helpful, I just love to shop at Exhibit. We have nothing like it in ST. Louis. Hint! Hint!

A clean brick and glass storefront gives way to an elegant boutique space featuring dark, inlaid wood floors, pale gray walls with tree brach sillouhettes and leaning mirrors with boxy frames. Racks around the perrimeter hold the goods: Local designers are picked up by buyers and displayed attractively in smart outfits. The sales staff is informed about featured designers, from colorful, detailed tops to hand-cast belt buckles.

Best Shop Ever. Habit carries a wonderful range of beautifully made, high fashion clothing. One of the things I like best about this store is that you can find unique clothing to satisfy your need to stand out in a crowd, as well as exquisitely crafted simple yet beautiful pieces that you will be able to wear for a very long time.

This is definitely the place to go to see what's happening in the Chicago design scene. It's great to see a store that encourages local design.

Indie designs in comfy atmosphere. I don't get into Chicago that often, but I try and stop at Habit to see what's new and soon to become current fashion. The clothing designs are avant and sometimes it's like visiting an art gallery. I love to see what these indie designers are creating.

I have purchased skirts and tops that are one of a kind, so I have to warn people that ask "Where did you get it?" that they may not be able to find the exact item, but they will surely find something right for them. I was turned on to this boutique by reading about it on the internet (Daily Candy) as well as Lucky magazine and several recent Chicago Magazine articles and it was even on Chicago TV news a few times. It's unique Chicago places like this that make me rethink the suburbs.

Habit is THE source for up-and-coming fashion. I love stopping into Habit whenever I'm in Wicker Park. There is always new, interesting clothing. I bought an edgy top by Chicago designer Abigail Glaum-Lathbury that always gets me compliments. The jewelry selection reminds me of the great little boutiques I've seen in New York. Habit doesn't always have my size, because they only carry a handful of any design, but every time I go, I find something I know no one else will have.

I also love the elegant atmosphere. It is as if you are shopping in a high-end boutique, but these designer masterpieces are easy on my wallet!

The Off-Michigan Avenue Couture. Great choice of styles reasonably priced. Styles competitive with Michigan Avenue. Great decore & space. Gracious, congenial, elegant staff. Women are enchanted. Men can be comfortably at ease.
