Kickin'

Great First Maternity Shopping Experience!. I went into Kickin' boutique for the first time to check out what they had after reading some good reviews of the shop. I am pregnant with my first and just starting to show at 13 weeks. I am in that awkward too tight regular clothes/not quite pregnant enough for maternity clothes phase. The sales person was so friendly and helpful, and pointed out some great starter options for me that I will be able to wear now and grow into. They had some trendy, and unique pieces which I loved. They also had a decent denim selection. The sales person was extremely helpful with her suggestions and selections, and the only thing I have to complain about is that I found too many things I loved and I spent more money than I had planned! I left the shop embracing my changing body and so excited about my growing belly and new wardrobe!…

The Best Maternity Boutique in the City. I just had my second child, and after finding Kickin' with my first pregnancy I ceased going to any other stores in Chicago. The service is impeccable, and they were always able to find garments that fit my shape and size, regardless of how pregnant I was or what occasion I was shopping for at the time. Even now that I am not pregnant, I continue to shop at Kickin' for nursing bras and tops and gifts for other little munchkins. Kickin's selection is always fantastic and if they are out of your size in something that you just have to have, they will order it for you if possible (much to the chagrin of my husband). As for price, Kickin is definitely in line with other maternity boutiques, and actually seems to have the same quality at lower prices than other places I have shopped. Simply put, Kickin' is a fun store to visit - and on a bad prego day, they can actually put a smile back on your face!…

One of a kind store offering great service and trendy clothes for work and weekends!. Being a first time mom-to-be I was in need of a full wardrobe change for my growing belly (and body). Kickin' provided me with everything I needed. Professional business clothes, cute and fun trendy weekend clothes and of course great lounge wear. Kickin' was able to offer me all of that - it truly was a one stop shop. What I found at this store unlike other maternity stores was the service was truly one on one. The owner did a fantastic job of first listening to what I was looking for, colors I liked, styles I normally wear, fabrics I like or dont like etc... She then went to the floor and helped me pick out a wide variety of clothes. She even kept bringing me things she thought I would like or would look good on me. Being a first time mom-to-be, I was very nervous about how my body would change. I was so impressed with her knowledge of the fabrics and how they would move and grow with my body. Since my first visit, I have recommended the store to many friends and they too have enjoyed their experience and the great clothes Kickin' has to offer!…

Not the place to go for a self-esteem boost..... If you are pregnant, feel fat and ugly and are looking for a cute outfit to make you feel better about your growing and changing body, cross your fingers that this store's owner isn't in that day! I am 12 weeks pregnant (and showing) and recently went into the store for a special occasion dress. Prior to pregnancy, I was a size 8. I've been working out daily - some days with a trainer - so that my weight does not balloon like it did with my first child. Anyway, while helping me, the owner passed up a lot of dresses before I could even look saying, "no, that one only comes in a large and it'll be too small" - without even a phony qualifier like, "it sizes small." After several comments like this, she must of seen the look of horror on my face and said not to worry, a large is really only a 12. Not quite a vote of assurance. I went home (empty handed) feeling fat and terrible about myself. They charge too much money to make you feel so crappy about yourself when you're already in a fragile state of mind. Clearly, this woman has never been pregnant. I won't go back.…
