Don't shop at Eddie Z's. In late December 2011, I ordered 5 blinds for our windows and paid a 50 percent deposit. My wife and I were very clear with the sales person (Linda LeBeau, not sure of the spelling) that we wanted these honeycomb blinds to raise from the bottom. We wanted the lower half covered and the upper half open most of the time with the ability to raise them up for complete coverage if we wanted that. We picked the color, decided on which side the cord would be and I wrote a check for half the total.

As the installer was getting started, I asked him if these were bottom up and he said yes. What he meant was that these raise from bottom up, not what I wanted. They were mounted at the top only. I asked him to stop and called CS. They referred me to the sales person Linda LeBeau (not sure of the spelling) who told me that she explained repeatedly to me and my wife what we were getting. She and her regional manager that I talked to as well told me that we were told what we were getting and that is what the contract said. The sales manager told me how the sales person Linda told me all about how each detail worked and went over each detail even though she was not there. What a great ability!

Linda told me they haven't had this confusion/problem with anyone but me. Check Yelp reviews and make that decision for yourself. This specific issue might never have come up but read the reviews for yourself. Double dumba#@ on me for not looking here first.

They are happy to take more of my money to give me what I already asked and paid for (~$400.00 toward an $800.00 contract). I was very clear when I told them what I wanted. They tell me I didn't understand when clearly they didn't.

We have no faith in Eddie Z's and their representative Linda LeBeau.

After an escalation and no resolution to the next person up the chain, I was eventually connected with Ron Bryza VP of sales. He agreed there were communication issues and we agreed that pictures attached to contracts would be helpful. In order to create a happy customer, he agreed to install what I thought I originally purchased. They're in and are exactly what I wanted, very nice. I'm happy with the final product.

More than I could ask for....... 7/27/2011

I brought in 3 Shangri-La window treatments I had for 12 years because the sheer fabric vanes were coming apart at the edges. Liz Lietz, company representative, greeted me courteously with the knowledge and experience of a seasoned professional. I asked about their warranty and if Eddie Z's/Manufacturer would honor it in reference to my situation. After she looked into the matter she called me with a most satisfactory result. They are replacing the fabric at no charge (just shipping cost). I couldn't be more delighted. I must say that my experience at Eddie Z's was outstanding. I am to receive the window treatments back in 3-4 weeks. She even offered temporary paper blinds to use on the windows in the meantime.

I have read the negative reviews for this location and felt compelled to give credit where and when credit is due. I would not hesitate to recommend Eddie Z's on LaGrange Road in Orland Park to anyone.

Thank you for the high quality service I couldn't be more satisfied.

bad in store service. When I was in the store I received very little service as they did not appear to want to help me, maybe because I looked young. I went to Southtown Interiors and got excellent help. The people there were sincerely interested in my business.

They took my money and ran plus horrible customer service!. I ordered blinds from this company on 4/20/2007. It only took two weeks for the blinds to come and be installed. This was fine. However, one of the blinds for my biggest window were measured incorrectly and it had to be reordered. The sales person fault not mine. It is now six weeks later and I have not received my replacement blind as of yet. Whenever I call I keep getting the run around about it will be here at the end of the week. I will never do business with this company again. I discourage anyone else from doing business with them. I think they took my money and ran and seem not to care that it has taken so long to replace my blind. Buyer Beware!

Editorial Review. Company sells, installs and cleans blinds, drapes, shutters and window treatments, in addition to cleaning upholstery, leather, carpets and rugs.

Fast and Reliable. I am so glad I tried Eddie Z's. Not only are they fair in price but they are veyr pleasant and thorough in the job they do. Def. will use them again.
