In Short – Serious dog lovers frequent this Lincoln Park boutique for the racks of high quality pet accessories like fabric and leather collars, dainty leashes, colorful pillows and beds, and sillier attractions like sequined booties and humorous plush chew toys. Another area features grooming stations with self wash tubs and leash hooks. Holistic food includes organic tendon chews, canned and dry food, and freshly baked treats.
Some good stuff amid a lot of junk

They carry a very good line of food, & some great supplies that you can't get anywhere----but for all their great stuff, i would think they would carry a better line of grooming tools (brushes, specifically) & not so much dog clothes. Still, better than a lot of pet shops.

We didn't really have the best experience with the groomer because he scared our already nervous pup, but even though we no longer use the grooming service, we, and our dog love going to Dog-A-Holics. They carry a GREAT selection of pet foods, and we were even given a bunch of samples of different brands and flavors to try out before we made the decision to switch to a new kind. The bakery section is always fun too. Since it is a boutique, do expect to pay a little more, but the treats are worth it! Our dog gets a new tasty treat each month when we buy a new bag of food (they have things like cannoli, doughnuts, cupcakes and seasonal cookies that look so tasty I want to try them). They have pretty cute clothes and toys even for the bigger, tougher dogs out there, which is really nice compared to other places that cater more toward smaller, toy breeds. Overall, Dog-A-Holics is definatly a place to check out if you have a dog, for nothing else than to see other dogs and check out what they have to offer.
How much fun is this place?

Really fun. I only have cats, but of course, they did have an entire cat section. I also, really love dogs, so it was a blast to see everyone there with their dogs. There is a courtyard in the back that is perfect. In that neighborhood, it is hard to find something like that, unless you are at a bar or restaurant.
I really enjoyed walking around the shop and when I get a dog...Fido can enjoy it too.
- Pros: Natural pet treats, Not just for dog owners
