Beware - Do not sign so called "contract".
I purchased a designer bridal gown with Belle Vie Bridal for my wedding on April 28th, 2012. It was a total nightmare!! After the dress arrived, and being switched from the orignal rep I worked with, I was told that Vera, who worked with Belle Vie, would be fitting my gown. After two fittings with them, they assured me that my dress would be ready. They did not even deliver the dress until Friday evening BEFORE the wedding, because the did not follow up on some things they needed from New York (Which they made ME pay to overnight). They never followed up on it, and actually had the nerve to put the overnight charges on my UPS account 4 days later!! When it was time to put the gown on, the zipper was broken and the dress was completely altered incorrectly. We had to sew me into an $8000 dress and it would not stay up. It was not closed in the back and looked terrible. At that pont I had no choice but to get through my night.
We had our photographers, my wedding planer and the Trump hotel video the ordeal and when I called Belle Vie (We did call them on Saturday when the dress did not fit, but they sent a young girl over to the trump that did not have any experience to fix the drees, so muwedding planner sent her away) they said that they would not help and that I needed to file a formal complanit with the seamstress! I talked to Amanda the owner and she said that I signed a contract and she has no responsibility. That was a week ago, I have yet to hear back form them. BEWARE!! DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT, BELLE VIE BRIDAL WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR DRESS.
I was in tears my whole wedding day because the dress looked so bad in the back. My biggest dissapointment is that Belle Vie Bridal has not even apologized and blamed the seamstress.
What a shame!. When I came and found my dress things went well enough. I never got offered any champagne though! It all went down later with alterations, missing dress and lack of customer service. It was the only issue I had planning my wedding...but as I tild them, once they have your money...beware!
I wish I hadn't wasted my time..... After hearing great things from a friend, I decided to go to Belle Vie after I had gone to a few other bridal shops. I was expecting a great experience given the high end gowns they carry- wrong. I came about 10-15 minutes early for my appt and was actually asked to LEAVE and come back promptly for my appt time as they really stuck to a schedule. While my friend had been offered champagne and water when she was there, it was suggested I go to Starbucks. By the way, there was no one else waiting in the chairs set up in front! After I came back, I waited another 15 minutes (way to stick to a schedule!) and was greeted, set up in a room and then proceeded to look at dresses. There was quite a few other girls already walking around looking, so a bunch of dresses were already in fitting rooms with them. My sales associate just stood there and did not make ONE suggestion as to a dress or even show me which dresses were the silhouette I preferred. After all was said and done, I was disappointed and would not recommend the store..... get the dress elsewhere!
If there was a no stars option they would get it.
Warning!!!! Do not go here.
I was greeted by great sales people so I guess they can get that star. I was told the price of my gown was one price then they changed it on me when they saw I liked it. I bought this gown because I really liked it. The owner changed the price. I though the gown was new but my seamstress said it had been worn. I returned it.
Later I found out I was charged a fee without my authorization. The owner thinks she can charge people as she please. Steeer clear of this conwoman. I am still trying to get my money back.
Go here if you want to be ripped off.
A wonderful experience!. I loved Belle Vie. Jessica, my sales person, made me feel like a princess from the very moment we walked in. They treated me and my mom like royalty. I bought the most beautiful Anne Barge gown and Justina McCaffery veil to go with it. I also bought a gorgeous hair clip. The great thing about Belle Vie is they let you browse the racks for your perfect dress, rather than bring you dresses that are no where near what you had in mind. I saw that other people wrote that they couldn't get swatches, etc. My swatch was sent a month after I placed my dress order without any problems. I also received a thank you card and a beautiful photo of my dress within weeks after placing my order. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend Belle Vie over and over again.
HORRIFIC Experience. I ordered my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and invitations from this store and it turned out to be a NIGHTMARE. First, they messed up my bridesmaid dress order - charged the bridesmaids different amounts, after many requests they still refused to send me confirmations of orders and then 5 weeks afterwards told me that the pink color I had selected and paid for was no longer a color option. Second, they screwed up my wedding invitations - claimed that they had not received the proof until the day I called (the fax showed that they had received it 10 days earlier), then they went ahead and finalized my order charging my credit card (without my permission) for 100 extra invitations and refused to send me an itemized receipt. When I requested numerous times for a fabric swatch of the bridesmaid's dress they tried to charge me for a 'shrug'. I finally called the corporate store and they are taking over my orders because I can only assume that my wedding dress order will become a disaster with this store.
Nice store, average selection, snotty sales people. I did not enjoy my search for the perfect wedding gown when I was at Belle Vie. The sales people made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt like they were trying too hard to convince me to buy a dress. They didn't have a huge selection compared to other bridal boutiques downtown, but they let you browse the racks so that was nice. If you want to avoid followup phone calls, don't leave your real phone number. They called me at least 5 times even after I told them that I already bought a dress elsewhere. That was really annoying!
The Worst Experience of all my Wedding Preparation. The salon was very friendly the first day. As soon as I signed my life away on the contract with too many restrictions to name them all - a few include demanding you pay 100% of the dress before you are permitted to "view it"; 100% of bridesmaids dresses paid up front - no guarantee on delivery dates, etc it was downhill. Following spending over $6000, I had to battle for a swatch of fabric and was advised that it was "not in their control" to get a swatch from the manufacturer. They attempt to add on special rush fees, claiming they are a requirement of the manufacturer and when I called other bridal salons, found out the charges for these fees where inflated by Belle Vie and not even required with my timeline. The same dresses can be found in suburban stores for less money minus the special fees. I was stuck with buying my gown from there, but did 5 minutes of research and found my bridesmaids dresses somewhere else for less. I left at least 3 messages for Amanda - the owner who is all over tv with wedding shows, which is probably why she was too busy to return any of my calls.
Wonderful. This is a great store, with a great atmosphere! The staff really go out of their way to make you feel like a princess, and the dresses are fantastic! I can't say enough wonderful things about this store, and their service. I highly recommend this store if you are hunting for a wedding dress.
