Acne relief after 18 yrs & 7 dermatologists!. I cannot recommend Dr. Berk and The Skin Care Center highly enough. I have suffered from cystic acne since I was 17 years old. After 18 years of treatment from 7 different highly recommended Chicago area dermatologists, I am FINALLY acne free after being treated by Dr. Berk for 6 months. He is patient and listened carefully to my history of countless prescription antibiotics, topicals, and oral meds from dermatologists over the years. He prescribed a few new meds that I had never heard of (tough to do since I have taken almost everything out there). I'm a bit of a health nut and Dr. Berk understood my resistance to using hormones (i.e. birth control pills) and/or Accutane (linked to very serious side effects). He recommended levulan photodynamic therapy and after only 2 treatments, my acne is GONE. My skin has now been clear for 1 month which has not happened since I was 16 years old. I only wish I had known of Dr. Berk years ago...the pain, frustration, and money I could have saved during all those wasted years. I should also mention that Dr. Berk's Glenview office staff members (Cecilia and Susan in particular) are an absolute joy to deal with and approach their work with professionalism and caring. This is an outstanding dermatology practice. I understand Dr. Berk also has offices in Lake Forest and Lincoln Park (Chicago).…

Client/Patient care is excellent and caring!. I have been a client/patient at the Skin Care Center in Glenview over two years. I have received factual and honest diagnosis and treatment for my concern which is Vitiligo. As important as honesty, diagnosis and treatment are the care provided by the administrative staff such as Susan Engelheart is outstanding. The weight of a skin condition can be devastating depending on who you are problem and severity. Susan Engelheart provides the treatment, care and urgency and we all look for as a client and patient. In addition Susan follows through on all that "paperwork" that very few understand!…

Great SKin Doctor. GREAT! Dr. Berk and his staff are a very professional group. Psoriasis is a very difficult disease to treat, but Dr. Berk and his recommendations have made an enormous difference in my skin. I have recommended him to family members of all ages and to friends, everyone has been very satisfied. He is a very caring individual and always makes you feel comfortable and he is very patient about answering questions.…
