Great food, fun music and excellent service. I've been to Fuego's several times and I am never unhappy with my choice of meal. I love how they add cheese to their tostones and fresh guacamole made right in front us is always a nice touch and a treat. I have many favorites but I think I have to say the Talapia is absolutely wonderful. And the service is always right on and available for whatever we needed. Fuego's goes out of their way to make their customers feel at home. I love it here.…
worse mexican food ever. socks, its not even, mexican food, its texmex, probably they should give you more quality
Ok at best. Ok food, not as authentic as we like, lots of tequilias to choos from, very pricy for what you get. cute bar but not as nice as others in area.
Finally, good Mexican.
The wait is long, but when you consider the quality of Mexican fare in the entire Chicago Metro area, it is understandable. The food is good to very good, the place looks great, there is a lot of
energy on the weekends, and the service is knowledgeable and courteous. The premium tequila flight is an excellent value for you anejo lovers.
We highly recommend this restaurant.…
Great atmosphere, staff, service, & reasonable prices..
We just visited for the first time and like many restaurants Fuego does not accept reservations. This place is VERY popular! Definitely phone ahead & find out the wait time. We were qouted 90 min's,
decided to wait till a bit later, called back the wait time was down to 20 min's... they sat us immediately on arrival. So definitely phone ahead! It's a cute little restaurant. The wall's are covered by various murals and there is a giant Sombrero over the entrance to the kitchen. Along one wall is a long bar with 2 large screen tv's at each end tuned to ESPN. Facing the bar is a long row of bar tables for 2. Then the rest of the room is filled with tables and chairs. They do not have booths.
Our waitress was very friendly, candid and helpful. She knew the menu and was able to make helpful suggestions. She also was very attentive. We tried the Low Cal margarita which is the drink special for this month..... yummy! Hopefully it gets put into full time rotation.
The Guacamole came on it's own little cart, they mix it right at your table. Sorta like the Mexican version of Flaming Cheese. It was good, but we should have asked for a sample first because it needed a bit more seasoning. So something to remember for next time.
Our food was served quickly and was a fairly generous porportion. After the Guacamole, complimentary chips & salsa (the salsa was excellent, & was unlike any other we've had before), Mexican Chicken soup... we should have only ordered 1 meal. Though, your appetite might be bigger.
We tried the Amish Chicken with the Mole Poblano & the Enchiladas Combinadas. The Chicken was excellent, & we thought the Enchiladas were fair. Though, we normally only order Fajita's... so we don't really have anything to compare it to.
We'd definitely go back.…
