Tips for O'hare Inn & Suites Hotel

January 22, 2013

I stayed here for 3 nights. Staff is nice and knows ways around chicagoland.

Breakfast included cereal and coffee, which is good to get me started in the morning.

Free shuttle service took me to nearby restaurant at nights.

Free WiFi internet connection made my day, other hotels charge you $10/day.

I used to stay at more expensive hotels, but after finding this one I know where I'll stay on my next trip to Chicagoland.

When you first get to this hotel it really isn't impressive. We thought we had made a terrible decision for our visit to Chicago. We wanted to be close to the airport because we had a flight four days after the arrival. But after going through the check in desk you have a great surprise. The room is probably the biggest I have ever stayed in (including 4 star hotels) and the price is great for it. There is a shuttle that leaves every hour to the blue line which will take you downtown Chicago. Its quite a long ride by train but its ok. Breakfast is a joke though!!! They call breakfast old cereal and coffee. We had to go to Dunkin Donuts every morning for close to decent breakfast (the good thing is that its right next door). The service is good, they were very helpful. So, if you want to save...this is a good place to go.

The hotel is very nice. Positives:-Staff nice and friendly, specilally (Sohail) who works at frontdesk,he is so helpfull to us.Negative:Shuttle driver victor,he is crazy an rude.

We had a great time in this hotel.

The rooms are very clean, new and comfortable. Great bed, excellent sleep and good TV with tons of channels. The bathroom is also big and nice. Value for money is amazing,

Stayed two night to attend conference nearby. An older property but rooms were fine. Paid for "1 queen bed with jetted tub" room on the side of the building that faced away from office and could not get wireless there. I asked for another room with better connectivity and was given a King junior suite facing the office for the same price. The first room faced the street and was a bit noisy, the second room was quiet (aside from occasional flights from O'Hare) and very comfortable. Breakfast is minimal but enough if you just need some coffee and calories to start the day. There is a largish gas station with donuts and sandwiches next door. The only downside were some girls hanging around that appeared to be "working" but they kept to themselves mostly, and we all have to eat. Given the price (for the room, not the girls!) I was extremely happy.

We picked this hotel for its special deal and convenient location for us close to airport and Chicago downtown easy to reach by car only. But no walking distance restaurants or stores. Very comfortable and clean room (to be refresh though) . Fore sure worth the value we paid. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee and cereals. Would stay at this hotel again.

Not a luxury hotel,A bit dated and worn but you get what you pay for. More of a Motel than a hotel but is 20 min drive from O'Hare and 1hr train ride on Blue Line from airport. Room was huge, with separate sitting area, and was very clean with fresh towels provided daily. The only complaints were no kettle or tea making facilities in room and although had fridge and microwave in room no dishes, utensils or cutlery supplied however we managed.

Breakfast was basic just cereal and biscuits but available any time as was the coffee and other hot drinks in reception. There are also vending and ice machines and a Dunkin Donuts next door which served food including a breakfast menu.We made our own breakfast every day microwave pancakes etc in our room so this wasn't a problem to us.

Shuttle service was brilliant especially Victor the driver. Every day we used the shuttle to go from hotel to the Blue Line at O'Hare to go downtown. System in place to book shuttle from hotel every hour until midnight. Then when you want collection again you just ring up on free shuttle phone in airport (dial29) and shuttle comes to collect you within 20-40 mins.

We had no trouble with free WiFi

We found all of the staff especially Victor and Zachary very helpful and very friendly and ready with suggestions of what to see and do.

Definitely recommend this hotel if you don't mind travelling to downtown.

Great value for money. Very large clean rooms, bit dated but adequate. Free tea, coffee and biscuits all day. Breakfast is only cereal and coffee / tea. Lots of TV channels. Location is a bit difficult but hotel has very good shuttle service ( every hour to station ) and we phoned them for return trip - they always came very quickly when we called. The staff were very friendly. Great for cheap accommodation as long as you don't mind about one hour journey to downtown. Would stay again.

I read all the reviews before I came here and was expecting average. This place is definitely better than I expected for the money. When we first got here, we were upgraded to a king room for free. The rooms are a bit outdated (flowery borders and slightly outdated fridge and microwave) but the furniture and lamps are definitely recently replaced. Its very close to the airport as well as a bunch of restaurants, Target, and coffee places. Also, you get a discount at local delivery places that deliver to your room. I was very pleasantly surprised. If you book here, you won't be disappointed.

I chose to stay at this hotel based on price and airport shuttle. The front desk staff was great, friendly, helpful, and funny! Got a kick out of the signs warning parents not to leave kids alone in room due to adult tv channel. The room was clean, bed comfortable. They have a great coffee/cappucino machine! We arrived at O'Hare after 11pm and knew shuttle quit at midnight, it was a rush to get to the area of the shuttle phones at O'Hare (not the hotel's fault) but shortly after we called, the shuttle came to get us. Would stay again.
