not all as its cracked up to be. The cost is probably comparable to other Chinese places, probably a little more - I never dined it - we carried out. Let me tell you I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this place so I had to try it, I cannot believe how disappointed we were. It wasn't just me, my spouse too thought the food was not that good...did the chef have an off night? Not sure. I really felt it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be and for a couple entrees and an appetizer and $40+ bucks later - waste of $$. Go to Hunan Beijing on Barrington Rd in Hoffman Estates or Smiling Buddha off of Golf also in Hoffman - very very tasty there!
Best Sushi and Chinese in one place ANYWHERE!. TL's is wonderful, the service is great, the whole dinning experience is great. I have never entered a restaurant that is both a 5 star Sushi and 5 star Chinese before. Both Chefs came from fine dinning locations in China and Japan. I wonder how they met and created such a quality establishment. Like football you have to start with a great defensive and offensive line, at TL's they started with high quality meat and fish and the manager told me they pay on average 20% higher than other restaurants for the meat and fish because they care about what goes on your plate.. IIf you want a Chinese dish with taste, this is the place. They also have a chinese menu with english listed under the chinese, I recommend ordering from that menu. I have eaten both sides Sushi and Chinese and have never been disappointed (except the egg rolls and salty spider roll). Lately I always seem to go to the sushi side because it is so good, the tuna, crab, and rainbow rolls are great.. Like Sakura for Sushi it is high quality but unlike Sakura it is inexpensive. Worth the drive and there are a few bars around too.
