Definitely would not recommend this salon..

I definitely would not recommend this place--a stylist here gave me literally the worst haircut of my life two days before my college graduation. I usually go to a different stylist, but she was totally booked and I really needed a haircut. J. Antou seemed to be the only place in Evanston with an open appointment, so I went to them. I have fairly long hair (falls several inches below my shoulder) and my stylist at J. Antou cut the top layer of my hair so short it's higher than ear level while keeping the length of the bottom layers the same (which leaves a foot's difference between the layers). She also cut the top layers in such a way they puff out like a balloon and did not integrate them with the bottom layers at all, giving me a cross between a bowl cut and a mullet. Every time I look in the mirror I want to cry--it is that bad! My haircut is very simple--long with some layers and side bangs--and I've never had anyone mess it up so badly before. I wish I had steered clear of this place and would advise others to do the same!! (Note: My stylist here was not Jarmen, with whom other people seem to have had a good experience.)
Heather does amazing blunt, straight cuts!!.
My stylist was HEather. She does an amazing job cutting hair straight and blunt. I have been to several salons, including top salons like Trio on central and they do not even do as good of a job as Heather. Heather is very personable and nice, and she is very talented with her hands. My haircut looks great even after I wash and let air dry the next day, unlike any haircut I have had in the past. I think it is a good sign of an amazing haircut when your hair even looks great the next day. She also gives you a really nice head massage when shampooing. This place is not stuffy at all, it has a very welcoming feeling unlike other high end salons where the staff is not attentive.
