Awful Service, never smiling servers

If you are able to locate this place with hidden location, great....that itself tells you the management tried to find the cheapest property along with cheap servers.

We gave a party to a group of 25 people. Now let me tell you how horrible the service was.

When they started to serve appetizers the guy serving them was just throwing the food on table with no civility or professionalism. Everybody was looking at his face but he kept on doing it throughout the dinner. Maybe he had a fight at home or was piss*d off at the manager but this is not the way to deal with customers.

We had specially asked them to keep spices low in all the dishes(they ask for this when you order food - low/high spice) but they did the opposite. Some people had to repeatedly go to restroom for that. When we asked them that why they did that, the foolish manager smilingly said that the chef forgot.

Then I asked one server to bring a sweet mouth freshener which is usually lying on one table near the bar because we were a group of 25 people and everybody was asking for it. I did a mistake - I asked the same 'mad' server to do this. You wont imagine what he told me "Please go and grab the dish yourself and serve it yourself". I was like what the heck. My colleague sitting next to me was so mad that he was about to h*t that server. That server spoiled the whole fun in the party. I got up and took that server on side and said dude what's your problem. He said the most absurd explanation "Sir this is America I do what I do". The impression I got is about that mad server was that he was a fresh immigrant from India and might be a cousin or nephew of the restaurant owner because the manager was not taking any action even after noticing such BS going on.

I would say this to all the people who wrote good reviews about this restaurant - stop writing reviews about your own restaurant because your place s*cks and stop defrauding people.

I'll go again and again and again and again....

Next time you feel like eating Indian CALL ME! My boyfriend & I went to India House in Oakbrook. WOW! It was so good! He was afraid of eating Indian but I?m glad I was able to change his mind with this restaurant. Not only was the food great but the service was impeccable.

You know how Indian food is spicy? I don?t do so well with that (but it?s so good!) anyway they were constantly filling my water, which is funny because usually at place I?m the one asking and later on the waiter brought me a Mango Lassi for free because he said that it would help with the burning? which it did because it?s made with yogurt. They were so attentive.

Getting off topic a little, The food was so delicious. You know how Mexican places do chips & salsa? and Italians do a bread with olive oil and cheese? They do Naan and Masala sauce. YUM! That's what made me order my dish! I'm looking forward to lunch today with our leftovers! We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Madras and a side of saffron rice to go with both dishes. Of course we also order 2 Naan to sop up our dishes sauces. We ate so much but didn't even make a dent ion our order. We have SO MUCH FOOD LEFTOVER. the sizes seem normal until you start eating and realize they really fill you up.

Unfortunately you can't see it from Butterfield Rd (22nd Street) You have to go South on Meyers... into the Inland buildings and drive around back until you see the red canopy. It?s a little hard to find but worth it.

• Cons: location, more people should know about this place!

Absolutely Wonderful

I?m from out of town and LOVE my variety in food when I travel I always try to find awesome food and here is one that definitely is a must have every time I come back to Oak Brook. I ate so much that I made myself miserable I had the Lamb Palak (Lamb cooked in a spinach base) and Naan with garlic and spices. I didn?t care for the yogurt cucumber salad but that didn?t hurt my experience at all. The wait staff was courteous and very attentive. The service was fast but not rushed. Over all I had a wonderful time and a wonderful meal.

• Pros: Awesome Food, wait staff, Atmosphere
• Cons: Hard to find at night from Butterfield road, it's located in the back of office buildings.
