Family Favorite!. My parents literally go here about once a week, its their favorite place to go. The prices are very reasonable, including the drinks. The drinks are good, the margaritas are good and you get your money's worth on the tequila. Most restaurants water it down and charge you 10 bucks, but not this place! The food is great, always fresh and authentic. The staff is friendly and prompt, there is always someone to step in and help. The staff and managers even recognize my parents when they come in. Always the go-to place for us and when family comes to visit.

RIP OFF!!!. The last time I ate there my bill was $86 and I tipped $10 because not only was the service slow but the food was average. I checked my bank account later that week and found that instead of $10, they had charged me for a $110 tip. Needless to say I called them to tell them that either a mistake had been made or someone on their staff was cheating their customers. No help at all. I will rely upon my bank to rectify the mistake and will not visit this establishment again.

BAD MANAGEMENT PRACTICES. WE USE TO EAT THERE ALL THE TIME & WE ALWAYS TIP BASED ON PREFORMANCE. THIS LAST TIME THERE WHEN WE RECIEVED THE BILL, THEY ADDED ON A 15% GRATUITY (THAT IS ONLY SUPPOSE TO APPLY TO PARTIES OF 6 OR MORE). WHEN CONFRONTED ABOUT IT,THEY SAID THAT WE NEVER GIVE A TIP (WHICH IS DEFANTILY NOT TRUE!!!!!!) AND THAT THEY GET PAID OFF OF THEIR TIPS. I TOLD THEM THAT WE DO TIP AND GENEROUSLY WHEN SERVICE IS GOOD, AND THAT NO MATTER WEITHER WE TIP OR NOT, IT IS NOT THEIR RIGHT TO TAKE IT UPON THEMSELVES TO TIP THEMSELVES AND HOW MUCH, BUT IT IS OUR RIGHT. THEY GOT VERY ANGRY WHEN I DEMANDED THE MONEY BACK ON MY CREDIT CARD, AND TOLD THEM THAT NOT ONLY DID THEY JUST LOSE A VALUABLE CUSTOMER (WE EAT THERE A LOT!!!), BUT THAT BECAUSE OF THAT STUNT, THE WAITRESS WE DID HAVE WOULD NOT RECEIVE HER TIP AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO PROVIDE HER WITH IT. I AM ALSO REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREU. ALTOUGH THE FOOD IS GREAT, I WOULD KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR CHECK THAT THEY DO NOT DO THE SAME THING TO YOU!!!!!!!

Great food. All I have to say is the person below me must really not go to Mexican restaurants often. Tecate, Dos Equis and Corona are all Mexican beer and it is in their tradition for most to put limes in their beers. Also, beans is a part of a Mexican meal, so to complain about it (unless you ordered it without beans) is just stupidity. That being said, I do agree that their chips are usually stale. I go there quite often and that is the only complaint I have. The food is delicious. I have ordered several things off their menu and I have yet to complain about one of their meals. The monster margarita is huge and you WILL be drunk off it. So if you do order one, have a DD! If it wasn't for the stale chips, I would give them 5 stars.

Bad....bad service, bad drinks, bad food......and slow!!!. Wow. We had heard good things about Friaco's in Joliet, and decided to visit the location near Fox Valley in Aurora/Naperville. Boy were we disappointed. First, the good --the atmosphere is nice. The booths have very cool carvings of the restaurant name and bright painted chili's, etc....it's a neat place. Now the bad. Starting at the bar....they put a lime in every beer, whether you order a Tecate, Dos Equis, Corona, XX. The standard margarita stinks...it's poured out of a drink mixer into a beer mug....doesn't taste much like a margarita at all...very bland and little taste of tequila. The service was VERY, VERY slow. Once we got to our table, we never did get any chips and salsa, or water. We had to ask 3 times for another drink (we had drinks from the bar). The food - again, terrible. The Sour Cream sauce in the anchiladas was very bland. The Carne Asada (what I expected to be skirt steak) was some thin strip of steak, cooked to gray....no pink visible in the meat, very overcooked. It took so damn long to just get the food, I wasn't about to complain and send it back....that would have taken even longer. On the plates was a lot of beans, and a small amount of lettuce, one tiny piece of guacamole, some onions.....not much of a mixutre. The food basically sucked. The only decent thing we tried was the salsa at the bar....even the chips were hard, stale and bland. We asked for the check 3x...finally the waitress who was setting a few tables around us....we finally asked for the check a 4th time....and she had it right in her apron....what an idiot. We'll never go back, and unfortunately won't recommend the Joliet location either despite the good things we've heard.
