For a place that has its beginnings in designer hoop skirts, Bloomingdale's fresh merchandise, bright lighting and colorful, quirky displays are all decidedly modern. Highlights include a drool-worthy selection of handbags for all tastes and occasions, and an incredible array of swimsuits and coats with its own petite section. The women' clothing section condenses favorite labels of all styles and inspirations: Ralph Lauren next to BCBG Perry Ellis and Norma Kamali, Theory and Vivienne Tam. However, there are also a myriad of private and lesser-known labels for the budget-concious shopper, as well as jewerly, accesories, shoes, cosmetics, luggage, houseware and gifts.
