Happy dry cleaning customer for 4+ years. I also feel compelled to write a positive review here. I have been a happy customer for 4+ years and highly recommend S.O.S. Cleaners to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, professional dry cleaner in Lakeview, Wrigleyville or Uptown (I moved to Lincoln Park & still drive to Lakeview because they are an awesome family-owned neighborhood business!). I mostly take my dress shirts for laundry service, but have also had them tailor & dry clean everything from suits to comforters.

So Impressed. I felt the need to write a review for this cleaners because the previous comment leaves it at an injustice. I found the cleaners on YELP because let's be honest, there are a lot of cleaners to choose from and the comments left for New S.O.S Cleaners are just fabulous. The owners are wonderful people and I have never had a problem for the past 8 months I've been going there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location and to even check out the other reviews on Yelp!



On another note, I asked the owner one time about the comment left on this review (the scarf incident) and apparently the husband had brought in his wife's scarf (which had some moth holes that wasn't visible prior to wash) but afterwards had left some large holes. The owners took the initiative to fix it themselves, but the client wasn't happy even though the owners had made other offers. The owners didn't ask the customers if they could fix it because this location has been fixing up little holes/buttons/seams/etc. as a courtesy for customers for a long time. So...understandable, but I still felt the need to explain because there are two sides to every story and I truly believe the owner's earnestness.



So try it out, you are going to love it and love the people and most importantly, the outcome of the services!

NEVER BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER BRING YOUR CLOTHING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

They destroyed a $200 cashmere scarf (a gift from my parents), then proceeded to call me a liar. It came back with over 10 large holes that had magically been (horribly) patched to hide the obvious damage. After attempting to get to the bottom of the situation, the owner insisted that the holes were in the scarf when it was dropped off. He then refused to talk to me without my husband present! This was not only rude, but completely sexist. He then had the nerve to say he did us a favor by patching the holes (that he created), then charged us for. He also called my husband a liar claiming that he ASKED him to patch all of these holes to begin with!!!!!!

I have no recourse but to beg you not to trust this man with your clothes. It will happen to you and they will never admit fault or take responsibility for their actions. Unless you are in to giving your money to people that will gladly smile, take it, then destroy your property (supplying money to a chauvinistic business)--- I suggest you STAY AWAY!!!!!!
