Chicago >Ma & I
“Sure, if you're already in the neighborhood or if you are looking for a cozy BYOB place for a nice tranquil dinner close to downtown.”
“crave Ma & I sushi, and they have the best Thai iced coffee I have had anywhere in Chicago.”
“good food, horrible service”
“S. Loop needed a good thai place and this is the answer!”
“good food, horrible service”
“But if you would like them to value our health and receipt of good service please do not frequent this place!”
Consistently good food. I can't say I've ever really been disappointed. Service is always on par, food is good, and not overpriced. The only time I had bad food was when I ordered pick up and didn't get there til later on so the food had been sitting out but that's my fault. Year round good place to eat.
PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!.
DO NOT EAT HERE! We have been here in the past, but last night was the last straw. We ordered pick up and they completely forgot an entire entree and gave us jalapeno tuna roll instead of yellowtail. (there is no way we would order jalepeno, I am deathly allergic.) We informed them of the errors and they did not even apologize. We asked them to please deliver the correct order and they estimated about 15 minutes (we live three blocks away). It took 45 minutes to get our food!!!
And to top this off, I am horribly ill today. (I won't go into detail) But judging from the previous post of lack of cleanliness, I wonder what is going on there. To others in the South Loop who were excited about a new Thai place, I am sorry to disappoint you, I am sad too. But if you would like them to value our health and receipt of good service please do not frequent this place!!! We should demand better in our neighborhood.
Cozy, romantic, BYOB... and good food.
The first time I ate here was terrible. But they had only been open for 2-3 weeks. Since, I must have gone 3-4 times because it is close to my building. It is a little on the pricier side but the food is originally composed and the ambience is a bit more upscale, so this is what you partially pay for. The waiting staff could be a bit faster and I always feel that on a busy evening, they are quite understaffed.
Decor is nice. During warm weather, they'll open the front windows for a bit of a breeze.
Food is good enough that you won't be disappointed if you are willing to pay for it. Would I recommend it? Sure, if you're already in the neighborhood or if you are looking for a cozy BYOB place for a nice tranquil dinner close to downtown.
good food, horrible service.
My husband and I ate there a couple of days ago. The food was nothing to complain about (good taste, right size portions, fair prices) and the restaurant looks like a neat place too...but the service....
We both ordered an appetizer with our meal, but they did not serve mine and my husbands at the same time. My husband had long finished his one when they finally brought mine (he tried to wait for my food to be serves, but hisfood was getting cold!) I got it 20 minutes later then my husband. Just seconds after I finally received my appetizer, our main dish was served, so I practically had to eat two dishes at the same time!!!!! There was hardly space on the table and no apologies from the staff for the bad service whatsoever. The restaurant was nearly empty at this time, so work pressure could not have been an excuse!
The next day, I discovered that I had forgotten my purse and we went back to get it. They did not find it, so I felt my heart drop for a second. But my husband had the smart idea to check the table where we have eaten and the purse was still standing on the floor where I had left it. So NO FLOOR CLEANING had been done!!!!!
Well, if you would like to enjoy their food, we would recommend to choose for their take-out.
Great Thai place in S. Loop. We love this place. Excellent service, ambience and food. We have been there many time and never been disappointed. The entrees range from 10-14 $ for dinner. Serving size is good. It is BYOB. S. Loop needed a good thai place and this is the answer!
Editorial Review. When the budget calls for cheap eats, South Loopers stop at this casual B.Y.O.B. for affordable Thai.
