My face will never be the same. I wandered into Swig on a Sunday night looking for a beer and a burger. I had a perfect turkey burger with tater tots. The food and drink were both good but what set them apart was the music selection. I expected a quiet meal and a drink, instead, I got my face melted! The bartender, much like myself, is a true rock and roll connoisseur. Like I said, I was expecting a quiet Sunday night but by the time I left, I was rocked out and fired up for the week!

Great for an after work hang-out/happy hour. We just moved to the Wicker Park neighborhood and stumbled upon this cute little place last night. We saw a sign for $5 cosmos during happy hour and decided that this is where we needed to be. We sat outside in their small, but cozy, outdoor patio. Good drinks, decent beer selection and the food was pretty tasty pub grub. My boyfriend had a wrap and I had the fish 'n' chips, which were a little on the greasy side, but good just the same. The wrap was also good, and so was the mac 'n' cheese that came with it. Mmmmm! The waitress was friendly, but the service was a little on the slow side considering that it wasn't too crowded. But whatever, we weren't in a hurry and it was a nice place to talk, have a drink and relax outside. I'd definitely go back, but probably after we've tried a few other places in the area first.

This casual, everyday bar occupies prime real estate along Wicker Park's Milwaukee Avenue, attracting a mix of hipsters and young professionals.. In Short
A wood and glass front is inviting, especially when the small patio is open, attracting both buttoned-up young professional types and artsy regulars. Inside find warm ambience in lots of well-worn wood, antique-looking fittings and large swaths of exposed brick. A generous dose of local art hangs, all for sale, contrasting nicely with a handful of flat screen televisions.
