What Our Expert Scouts Say

Eno

Need a shopping break? Duck into the sleek tasting room right on the Magnificent Mile. Wines are available by the glass and you can try flights that focus on styles or regions while nibbling on cheese and chocolate.

Best Wine Bar in the City!. Eno is a fantastic place for wine lovers and those who don't have much knowledge but enjoy a relaxing glass. I have been to Eno a few times after work and also for a romantic evening. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, a respite from the busy outdoors. It is a small space which gives it an intimate feel, but it did get a bit crowded on a Saturday night. The menu is extensive, but the servers are very helpful and steered us in the right direction. The menu can get expensive, but there is a price range if you look for it. The wine flights are very creative and pair perfectly with the cheese and chocolate items, especially if you ask the server to match up the cheese and chocolate flights to the specific wine you order. I would recommend this wine bar to anyone who has interest in wine and is tired of seeing the same options at every restaurant/bar.

Not Worth It--Save Your Money. Where do I start?

We looked over the menu before going in. It was a Sunday evening around 5:00pm, so we decided to give it a try. We stood in line for 15 minutes not understanding if we put in a name etc. We had to ask the couple ahead of us what was going on--they had no idea. After being acknowledged as human beings... we were seated at an 8 person table with another couple that were fnishing up. (Very awkward) They sat us down without wiping the table and the wait staff gave the other couple a dirty look. We ordered two flights of wine, two waters and a cheese tray. When they set my flight of wine down, I noticed that my first glass was completely cracked! It took 10 minutes to track the wait staff to get me a new glass. Then they brought the cheese tray...which consisted of 3 small slices of cheese, four small pieces of bread, a lump of marmalade jelly and a cluster of olives. After 20 minutes of first being seated, they brought us our water...without ice and the glasses did not look too clean. We ordered a plate of chocolate and we had 3 different types of "shavings" to taste.

They were rushing to get us and everyone else out...I think they closed at 6:00pm on Sunday.

All said and done we spent $88.00 for snooty wait staff, dirty broken dishes & dirty tables. NOT WORTH IT!

I can't imagine "who Eno knows" to stay on MI avenue and to stay in business.

What a waste of time and money!!!

Worst Experience ever. Rude, Rude, RUDE!! We came here post dinner for a nice, fun splurge. Although expensive, we were enjoying ourselves until the bill came. After paying, the waitress returned with our change and announced that they had people waiting for our table so could we finish up? We were shocked and decided to finish our conversation quickly and leave but we didn't get the chance because within 5 minutes a manager, we assumed, came to the table, tapped his fingers and started with, "Ladies, we really need this table..." With that, our evening came to a screeching halt. What should have been a lovely end to an evening with friends that don't get together that often turned into the rudest restaurant experience I've ever had. We weren't even there for an hour and we were asked to leave. Perhaps we didn't spend enough although it's hard not to with their prices. I would NEVER recommend this place.

Perfect Spot to Unwind with Knowledgable Staff!. Perfect spot to kick back with a couple of glasses of wine, along with some cheese & chocolates! What more could one want? The staff is VERY knowledgable on the offerings and their "no-attitude" style is refreshing!

Great Service, knowledgeable staff, Nice escape!. Boyfriend and I went here for an early Valentines Day to escape the crowds. Went on a Sunday night, arriving when they first opened at 4pm. We were the only ones there, and found a cozy table. The waitress was very friendly and helped us choice appropriate cheeses to accompany our flite of wine. 2 1/2 hours later we left, our palettes tingling from endulgence. We will definitely be back!
