Editorial Review for Krem – by Fred Schlatter

In Short
Hidden, save for dark-suited bouncers checking IDs and guest lists, stairs lead down to a sunken patio and a frosted glass facade. Inside find white-washed everything--counters, walls, ceiling, curtains and furniture--accented with ice-blue lighting. The main bar is to the right and a handy champagne bar sits to the left. Two rows of bed-like loungers are prime seating, and wood-clad pillars throughout are good for leaning against when busy. A DJ in back plays house and hip-hop from a laptop-controlled playlist.

Insider Tips

Know Before You Go

The sunken (and shaded) patio is a cool retreat come the hottest days of summer.

What to Eat

An eclectic contemporary menu offers small plates perfect for nibbling alongside cocktails, but ordered in numbers they make for a substantial meal.

Where to Sit

A "bed" runs almost continuously the length of one wall and is a terrific place for hunkering down for the long haul.

What to Drink

Try any selection from the champagne bar.

This was truely the worst clubbing experience ever - the doorman was rude and the manager was extremely verbally abusive - I dont recommend that anyone goes here!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything

2 Star Rating: Below Average

At first the bartenders seemed nice...then I noticed them talking about my group of friends as they looked over their shoulders and laughed. Well the joke is on them now... I noticed I was severly OVER charged...NICE TRY. Those shots were not that strong! I have now contacted the place twice and they are still trying to square it away.

Pros: Two sounds going on.

Cons: The Bouncer was tough to get in the back room and then 2 minutes later there was no more bouncer for the night...Cool.
