Editorial Review for Martini Park – by Fred Schlatter
In Short
Occupying roughly a quarter of a downtown city block requires disparate areas but coherent design. CEO Chris Barish unites two bars--one curved and looming, the other underlit and backed by a stage. The massive space opens to dozens of tables and plenty of outdoors by limiting decor to metallic fabrics, flagstones, wood, slate and technology in the form of plasmas and illuminated panels. The effect: Vegas in Chicago, including the tanned and expensively dressed patrons.

Insider Tips
ParkingValet is a good investment in this busy part of town, although it might make sense to circle the block--searching the side streets--first.
On the MenuFour varieties of slider plus other rich appetizers, like a Crab Cake Corn Dog, anchor the menu. On the lighter side: Smoked salmon wrapped around a fork, dabbed with creme fraiche and caviar.

Ok all you Chicago people. I just want to take a min and say YOU ROCK! I am from California and went to Martini park and had a BLAST. The food was fantastic (especially for a late night menu) This place is HUGE with a Great band too! The chocolate martini was something I would have never ordered, but the waitress suggested and I must say I am hooked! I will absolutely be back on my next visit. I read some of these reviews and I have to say, the ones that didn’t like it probably didn’t belong there in the first place. It’s upscale and if you have taste and style you should absolutely go!
Pros: Love this place! Great martinis!
Cons: none

A neighborhood saloon designed to convey simple elegance. The food and specialty cocktails are feel good fresh, natural and easily understood. It's not just another tavern! This place has live bands and a great eclectic crowd. I liked the martinis, the spacious area, the decor, and the food. It's a good place to experience at least once. My girl friends and I had a great time! Give it a try.
Pros: Love the late3 night appitizers
Cons: try valet and parking is not an issue
