“Anyway, the veggie sandwich "of the day" is kind of stretching the truth, seeing as there's only ever the veggie reuban or the plantain sandwich (which is my favorite sandwich right now and the only reason I order from there besides the sweet sweet potato”

Sandwiches rule the menu, & the best are the tender pork and the BLAST, a spruced up BLT. Make sure to wash it all down w/ an oatmeal shake...and don't forget it's cash only.
Good food if you can get it. Nice shop overall. But, don't count on them being open.
Good take on a fancier sack lunch. I think the people who opened this place used to be chefs at Lula Cafe in Logan Square? Anyway, the veggie sandwich "of the day" is kind of stretching the truth, seeing as there's only ever the veggie reuban or the plantain sandwich (which is my favorite sandwich right now and the only reason I order from there besides the sweet sweet potato hash). They don't recommend you dine in, the hours on the website aren't up-to-date, and sometimes they don't answer the phone, but damn... they do have really good oatmeal shakes.
Cozy soup, sandwich and shake shack makes the perfect respite from a lonely stretch of Armitage..
In Short
Red and blue chairs pep up this small storefront deli in Logan Square, as does a giant mirror on the right wall that's bordered with a wild cityscape painting. A chalkboard above the counter lists decent soups like creamy tomato and regular or vegan chili, but better still are sandwiches such as the spicy sloppy joe; reuben; or grilled organic peanut butter, honey and banana.
